birthday parties

my birthday is coming up in a fortnight and i will be doing lots of drunken things to enjoy it. i will have all my friends there and it will be fun.

however my lit friends cant be there for obvious reasons. so i have to have a party with all of them there. so what is the best way me and you lot to have an online party so to speak.

any suggestions

all will be invited of course

Some of my friends and I have done that before (we all have spread out since leaving school and online is one of the best communication tools)...had an online party for someone's birthday. Easiest way is to send out an invite, setting time, place (creating a chat room just for the event works pretty good) and who can cu...I mean come, will come! We've done some interesting one's like everyone coming as a "Disney Character" or all as "Happy Birthday"...then its the birthday boy/girl's job to figure out whom everyone is! It's a fun thing when you can't get together with friends...

Okay, a couple options...

1) If you want to do it on Lit, You could either have a thread going directly for just that purpose...maybe have another thread to "invite" your guests with. This would be fairly straight forward.

2) I don't know how many of the Forum members use the chatroom on Lit, but you could certainly create one for that purpose on the chat side of things. This might be a lil bit more interactive.

The times that we have done such a thing, my friends and I have pulled them together on msn chat...you can create your own room, and you can have Non-profiled login's, which is how we've done the "masked" parties.

BUT make sure to post very DIRECT directions for people...its easy for users to get lost. Play around with it ahead of time. You'll figure out what you like bestest!
