Birth Control - What Option Do You Use?

I'm in a birth control flux, so I'm curious as to what others are using. What is your preferred method of preventing a premature Junior?

For just pregnancy prevention, the pill, however I never do it without a condom. There are things that the pill can't prevent.

It's been two months since my last BC shot (Depo then Lunelle), and this is the first time since I was 18 that I don't have artificial birth control chemicals coursing through my body. I'm loving the feeling - my appetite is nill, and my sex drive is in high gear. I'm not a fan of condoms, though, so I suppose I have no choice but to swtich to bcp's. I'll just pretend you're using something else.

Plus it makes my periods shorter & I don't double over in pain like I used to before the pills.

After two children, I had a felt tip installed (AKA Vasectomy). I can still write, I just can't make carbon copies.

Sterilization, however, is a permanent solution and should only be done if you're done reproducing or absolutely positive you don't wish to.

IUD for me.

I've never had a problem with it, this is my second one. They are good for 10 yrs, there are no chemicals and it is safe.

All told, good for a girl that can't use any form of chemical birth control and is allergic to latex.

LMFAO. This is the best description of the Vasectomy I have come across. I had the same but my personality also ensures that I won't be getting any more 9 lb 9 oz surprises 9 months later.

edited to add - VCF is a vaginal contraceptive film containing spermicide. You insert it about 15 minutes before intercourse and it dissolves to a jelly-like substance. Unlike other foams and things I've used, it seems to satay put better. The only drawback is you have to reapply for every round.

Target is the best place (best price, availability) I've found.

VCF has some good points, but it takes fifteen minutes to dissolve properly, and it makes the vagina taste absolutely god awful. I wish these people who make it could flavor the shit or something. So you tend to be at an odd end what to do for those fofteen minutes.

I hate condomns. They dull sensation, rip out my pubes, make me lose my erection, make me slip off, and keep me from focusing on her instead of whether the goddamn thing is still on and in one piece.

So my preferred BC method while I was getting some was withdrawal for the most part. I doubt I would want to do that again, but it was what worked for us.
