Biker's Run..........................

I have in my time covered a vast amount of European roads, spending many hours riding my trusty metal steed. Those times of isolation with just my thoughts and the open road have been the most stress free times I have ever had. There have also been times when I have gotten off the bike a shaking gibbering wreck for the ride has been so intense that I am riding an emotional and physical high.
There have also been some very sad lows, lows that almost made me quit. Lows that still fill me with sadness. There have also been some accidents, all of which have been my fault for not reading the situation better. That is why I now get retrained every year, just to keep that knowledge, that awareness up to its peak. I am probably boring you silly at this moment so I will stop now.

Actually, no you're not boring (me at least!). That's a very good practice, and something I might end up doing.

Happy Friday Everyone :)

Sunday, September 10th.......

Good morning, everyone..... :)

Sorry I haven't been around...:( Been very busy with work the last couple of day.

I do hope everybody is enjoying the weekend so far. This is my first day free and I am planning to hit the road on my Gold wing after I make a nice breakfast. I need to unwind from a busy week and out on the open road does it for me.

Good to see you back with use Raidho... :)

I have a guy from CT that posts on my thread all the time. Do you mind if I copy that link and post on my thread for him?

Monday, September 11th........

Hi, JoeJ... :)

Please do copy the link. This thread is here to share information to all bikers. If he can get a chance have him get to Corey' for additional information and $5.00 off discount tickets (limited to two per person). It is going to be lots of fun.... :D

OK, gang a serious note now. This is the 5 year anniversary of the 9/11 tragedy. Take a moment today in silence for this country fallen hero's!

It a beautiful morning for a ride. I would take my bike to work but I only work 3 minutes away. I just walk. It's time to start getting ready for work. Want to wish everyone a super great start of the work week.... :D

Tuesday, September 12th......

Good morning, everyone.... :)

It's a chilly morning here in the little Quite town of Woodbury, CT. It's another work day for me.

Nothing new going on. I am going to head over to the show at Corey's tomorrow night.

Want to wish everyone a super great Tuesday. Catcha ya all later... :D

Wednesday, September 13th.......

Hi, everyone.... :)

Just returned from the bike show down at Corey's here in Woodbury, CT. A little bit of a chill in the air which is fine by me. Lots of nice bikes down there tonight. It was "chopper night". There was three custom bike shops there displaying there their stretch Harley choppers. If only I were a rich man... For the speed freaks there was a turbo charged VMax there tonight too... There was a beatiful extremely long legged beautiful blonde young lady representing the law firm of John Haymond motorcycle attorneys. She was waering a extremely short white skirt or it could have been a wide belt. Anyway the poor thing was shivering...:( Of course being the gentleman that I am I offered to cover her body with my body... :nana:

There was a lot of chatter about Super Sunday coming up on October 1st. See link for additional information " www.supersundayonline.com " It should be a very interesting show. I will be there for sure... :D

Doc's motorcycle sales and parts (out off Waterbury, CT great bunch of guys) were there. They are giving away 250 cc (based on a Honda 250 cc engine) bright red stretched chopper at the Super Sunday event. The bike itself is a neat looking as hell and is load with chrome. But still it's only 250 cc. Would make someone a nice starter bike I guess...

Well I do hope everyone is doing fine! "Riders up and ride safe"... :D

Thursday, September 14th............

Good morning, everyone... :)

It's a chilly rainy morning here in the little New England town of Woodbury, CT. I have some running around to do today. I have a appointment for my annual physical later this morning. I think I am going to stop off a Doc's motorcycle sales and parts on the way home today. I am looking to purchase a leather vest. It has been getting a little chilly here in Connecticut. I want something to break some of the chill while walk around at the events in the evenings... :D

Want to wish everybody a super Thursday. "Rider's up and ride safe"... :D

Hey hey :)

Jealous of the weather for sure, it's still hot and humid here =/

No events to report here, but then again, I'm just a wanna be for another year or two.

Hope you have a great rest-of-week, and your doc gives you a clean bill of health :)

Well, Raidho I know a few people that own bikes but aren't really biker's... ;) Definition of a biker is in his or her character and attitude. Hell when I was raising my two kids I had to sell my bike to help with expenses. However in my mind I was still a biker... :) Just the bike was absent. Most of the biker guys and gals I know are dam good people. Some no longer own a iron horse. But it's all in the character of the person themselves. If you can honestly say that you can associate with what I just said then in fact your a biker chic. Makes no difference whether you on the front seat or back. It's all about the friendships we form... :D

Yep were heading for the time of the year I enjoy the most the fall... :) Sorry to hear about all that heat and humidity...:(

As far as the wishes for staying health! Only the good die young... ;)

Friday, September 15th......

Good morning, lady's and gent's... :)

It's another grey and dismal day here in the small New England town of Woodbury, CT...:( There are signs of the autumn foliage season beginning. Unfortunately this weekend I have commitment all weekend long and won't be out on my bike...:(

For those of you looking for something to do on Sunday I recommend a trip to Doc's 37th annual customer appreciation day and bike show. It is Sunday, Sept. 17, 2006, 9am to 5pm. There will be food, music, vendors, free drawings, sales, contests, prizes, and a good time for all... :D

This is a link to the web site. Additional information can be found about the Sunday event... ;)

Well I'm off to get my day going... :nana: Want to wish everyone a great Friday. "Rider's up and ride safe... :) "

Hi Jaded...........add me to your list of bikers!

H-D Sportster, punched out to 1200cc and a new, big front end. Lots of custom paint (by my hubby) and chrome. I'll get a picture on here when I can. Glad to see a biker's thread. I love biker men!

Hi Jaded...........include me to your list of bikers!

Northern Arkansas here, Nothing finer than riding in the Ozarks in the fall, or any time of year. Just came on this thread, nice to find it. Keep it going.

Hi Jaded (and all ) !

Add me to the list of bikers ! Afraid I'm in the minority here - a chick with a sport bike - SV650 (suzuki). Just got it this year ! It was a great weekend for riding here in Upper Canada - hope you had as much fun as I did !

Just poppin in to say Howdy from West Virginia. Hubby owns a Kawaski 1500 Vulcan. He'd love to have a Harley but ya gotta start somewhere right:)
As a child growing up our family went on bike runs and I always rode with my uncle. The gatherings were always a blast. Our family ran with the Brotherhood of Cincinnati. Now he and I are just a bunch of old fuddy duddy's that just like to slip away on a nice day on the bike. Happy riding to yall hope the weather stays nice just a bit longer:)

Friday, September 22nd........

Good morning, everyone... :)

I would like to apologize for not responding to the thread sooner however after changing my password and email address I encountered technical difficults...:(

For some odd reason that is a Webmaster no no... I was able to sign on perfectly fine with the new password. But I was unable to post to any threads. Hence I could not respond to you people. It appears that when you change your password the there is a automated trigger with system to request a password validation to be sent to your email address. That didn't happen. You have 24 hrs to respond to that validation or it blocks your account. I got blocked...:( I have been going round and round since Monday with Webmaster trying to straighten this mess out. That seems to have occurred today... :D

"Rider's up and ride safe"... :)

...'nother biker....

...Add me as another biker, livin' in the hills of southwest Va., and like hdlynnette stated, gettin' to be on of the best times to ride around here. Air is cooler, trees are changin', and there are some fine day rides close.
...I also ride a Goldwing jaded, '97 SE, I built a homemade trailer, and also have a time-out camper. We enjoy weekends away campin', and ridin'...wife also has an 1100 Shadow sabre, and she's been ridin' for better then 4 years now.
...I usually ride to daytona in the spring, for bikeweek, always a much needed get-a-way after bein' cooped up all winter. I have rode out west, took in Vegas/Sturgis/grand canyon, and many other western attractions. Kinda tired of the rally/events...always to dang crowded to ride, but its always nice to kik back at the motel, and watch everyone show off on the strips, while enjoyin' your fav. beverage... ;)
...I live close to the "tail of the dragon", and for anyone who hasn't heard of it, its well worth a look, it is legendary for sport bike enthusiasts. Check out Dealsgap.com...or tailofthedragon.com...and....killboy.com has some great pics. biner, ya would realy like it...318 curves, in 11 miles, and best of all, no houses...We enjoy goin' down, takin' a pic-nic lunch, and pullin' o'er and watchin' the show.
...Lookin' forward to keepin' up with this thread....

I would like to welcome all the recent new people to are little thread...!

Blue_shoes your sporty sound really nice. Sounds like you found yourself a good olé man that takes care of his olé lady. I love Harley's myself. However the wallet couldn't handle a new Harley. I have two beautiful children I am still trying my best to help through life... ;) Yes ladies I am a available single Dad... ;) But being stuck with a Gold Wing isn't actually hell either. I am going to try to post a picture of my horse once I figure out how to do so....

Ricket, I hear ya on fall riding. If your smart and able to stay out of the bigger cities here in Connecticut there is some incredible country riding. I am a back roads kinda guy. Not in any real rush to end a day of riding. The town of Woodbury, Connecticut is a very picturesque little New England town. Loaded with antique shops and church's. Population of approx. 4000. We don't have a Mc Donald's or Burger King. No movie theaters or large malls. Although I wouldn't mind having a Dunkin Dounuts... Nothin like a bike out in the country!

Hdlynnette, welcome aboard. I see another Harley rider... Whats with all you Harley people. I'm only jealous thats all. Actual the leaves here have been changing for a while now. It was 38 degrees at my house last night. They are starting to fall here. I do have a question! In your signature line there seems to be a Harley patch? Now you wouldn't happen to have that same patch sown onto the cheek of you ass on your leather pants would ya? I am for ever checking out the ass on the lady bikers as I come up behind them. Just would wanna know if it was you... ;)

Biner, actually you seem to fit two minority classifications. One you ride a sports bike and two it's a rice burner like me...! Speaking for myself it's not what you ride that is important as that you ride. Makes no difference if your a driver or a passenger. It's about the fun of being up on two wheels with the sun in your face. Now addressing the fun you had last week end there in Canada. What kinda fun are we talking about? Listen why don't you just snuggle up in Jaded's lap and tell olé Jaded all about what ya enjoy... :D

Last but not least MoodyBlue. Darl'n being a biker family is pretty impressive in itself. There is on thing I am gong to as of you and that is if you'd make sure that handgun is un loaded when running around the thread. One thing I know is being shot sorta fuck's up your entire day. I know I am not very fond of being shot...! Oh and by the way great tit's... Another observation of mine is that I really don't know any fuddy duddy biker's. I have partied with several and found them to be honest, sincere, and lots of fun. Especially at a biker BBQ which I will probably host a couple next year if we keep goin. I have found after a few beer's and a little Jack Daniels most biker chicks are willing to flash ya their tits... ;) I've never meet any fuddy duddys!

Actual I am considering joining a motorcycle group called "Rollin Thunder" It is a organization of military veterans that help support the need of other military families and soldiers through fund raisers and rides. I just think more needs to be done for the families of the great men and women protecting are freedom. Please don't miss understand me I do not support this war. I do support are warriors. You can hate the war but never hate are soldiers.

....I have only been ridin' for 6 years now myself, altho did ride a dirt bike years ago as a kid. Kinda got the 'bug', told the ol' woman, I wanted a bike, and not just any bike, i was gonna get a goldwing. Bought it, and haven't looked back. I have put 120,000 miles on her in just o'er 6 years.
....Like you, I raised 2 youngens, but I remarried, and since the youngens were grown, we joined the 2-wheeled community...altho with our first gr-child due 'bout anytime now, our life may indeed be changin'... :)

I have added a 10 disc player, 100 watts of 'stereo' power, and love cruisin' the hills with my 'tunes' blarin'. I have a lil' mascot, "G", who rides on the luggage rack, he's a gorilla, complete with do-rag, leathers, sunglasses, folks are forever more makin' comments 'bout "G"....they will remember him, but not me, lol...
....I would like to post pics as well, so if ya get the procedure figured out, please let me know....I like this thread, course I just perty much enjoy any/all aspects of bikin'...
