OOC: Alright, I KNOW that Big Wolf on Campus has one of the worst plots in Canada and the US, but the characters themselves are definately interesting. I'll be taking the part of Lori...

Here's run-down on the show:

Pleasantville, a sleepy northern town with a tiny main street, library, post office, fast-food joints and one-camera TV station, where the biggest event is the annual town fair or Little League baseball games. It’s like all of smalltown America combined, until the day Pleasantville High’s popular resident jock, Tommy Dawkins, is attacked by a wolf, transforming this tranquil hamlet into anything but ordinary. Tommy is now a werewolf and, like most young men suffering from lycanthropy, he must adjust to his new abilities and quirks.

Aiding Tommy in this unusual coming-of-age process is his sidekick, Merton Dingle, a computer geek, who, like Batman’s Robin, enthusiastically joins his new best-friend in his upcoming series of misadventures. We are also introduced to Tommy’s family, including big brother Dean Dawkins, a harmless couch-potato who spends his life cruising cable TV and taking correspondence courses, Merton’s younger sister Becky Dingle, a sarcastic brat with a soft-spot for Tommy, and his parents, Sally and Bob, she the local TV news reporter looking for the latest headline story and he Pleasantville’s wise mayor, who likes his town quiet and is about to get anything but that. Add to the mix local beauty Stacey Hanson, the head cheerleader with eyes reserved for Tommy alone, and the malicious Eckert Twins, Tim and Travis, two brawny bullies who will stop at nothing to grind Tommy into werewolf dust. Oh and there are also the monsters and madmen who will magnify the mayhem every week. Welcome to Pleasantville, home of the weird.

Characters:

Tommy Dawkins - BRANDON QUINN - Popular jock; transforms into a werewolf due to extreme emotions, pain, and, of course, the full moon. He is desperately in love with Stacey...but also shows interest in Lori after Stacey moves away.
Merton Dingle - DANNY SMITH - Tommy's odd sidekick, labelled dork to everyone in the town. Tommy is basically the only person who dares to speak to him. Merton's hobbies include AD&D, reading about unusual beings (demons, werewolves, etc), and wishing he could get a date. He HAS fought with Tommy over Lori, but doesn't expect to ever get her.
Stacey Hanson - RACHELLE LEFEVRE - Popular cheerleader wanted by EVERYBODY. She likes Tommy more than anyone else, but on every date they go on he always bales out on her (In truth he begins to transform because of his love, but she is oblivious to that fact and gets pissed). She disappears after series two...I assume she moved away. In this thread she'll just have to move back ^^
Becky Dingle - NATHALIE VANSIER - Very attractive, prissy, wanna-be popular teenager. Melts at Tommy's feet whenever she sees him; acts very disrespectful and ashamed of her older brother, Merton.
Tim Eckert - ROB DELEEUW - Large kid who enjoys pounding on Merton and other dorks with the assistance of his brother.
Travis Eckert - DOMINIC DI ROSA - Tim's brother.
Sally Dawkins - JANE WHEELER - Tommy's attractive mother. Works as a news reporter.
Mayor Bob Dawkins - ALLAN FAWCETT - Tommy's father...town mayor, of course.
Hugo Bostwick - RICHARD JUTRAS - School "police man". Kinda odd...tends to talk to himself and doesn't seem to have any social skills.
Dean Dawkins - JACK MOSSHAMMER - As stated in the show summery...he just sits on the couch all day and watches TV.
Lori - AMY CASTLE - New girl to the town. Physically very fit. She's not into any school activities, more the type of person to go off and do her own thing. She's very independant, earning a middle-class social standing in the town. People either love her or love to hate her.

I apologize for the LONG intro...join in if you're interested.

Lori

OOC: Sure you can be Tommy!
Note to anyone that may join: We mostly need Stacey, Merton, Tommy, and Lori.

OOC: I'm going to be Lori; she's my favorite girl on the show!

IC: Lori walked down the halls of Pleasantville Highschool, the morning bell signifying the beginning of the day expected to ring in about ten minutes. She wore what she normally did; loose-fitting black sport pants and a fairly tight white tank top. Her black boots made a soft clunking sound as she walked.
Lori was wearing a slight amount of make-up...which was pretty unusual for her. She felt no need to attract guys, but this morning she took a few extra minutes to make sure she looked good.

OOC:

OOC: Never seen it but I'll try it. I'll be Merton ... Geeky sums me right up!

"Just a little more, a little more -- That's it! Aha! I've done it! I am the master of the known universe!" Merton put his hearse into park, turning the key to the 'off' position before pulling the key from the ignition. As he stood from the hearse and gathered his book full of bags he smiled to himself. The accomplishment of parking in a "Compact Only" space was one that could be rivaled by none other. Of course, getting in and out of his hearse was a bit difficult, but the day belonged to him.

Merton slung his book bag over his shoulder, walking towards the steps to Pleasantville High.

Lori

OOC: You're making a PERFECT Merton! That's just like him! ^^

IC: Lori made her way through the halls to her locker, quickly putting in the combo and popping it open. "Another boring school day..." she muttered to herself. Things had -definately- livened up since she met Tommy and Merton...but lately there was nothing to get excited about.
She grabbed her little black pack and swung it about her shoulders, closing her locker in one swift motion.

Walking through the hall carrying his bag and his football, Tommy was wondering where MErton was! He wolfed out the night before for no reason, and thought MErton mgith have an idea... As he turned a Corner he saw Lori standing at her locker. Raising his eyebrow and thinking to himself "Well looks like things just turned better for me!" Tossing his football in his hand, he started making his way over to Lori. Walking towards her, Tommy couldn't help but notice the skirt she was wearing. Maybe it was just habit form her catholic schoold ays, or maybe she just liekd to show off her legs, Lori in a skirt wasn't one of the thigns Tommy hate dabout school.

Lori

OOC: Lori is wearing sport pants...

IC: Lori turned to see Tommy, her eyes dropping to the football that he threw about in hand. She couldn't help but think about how he looked like an "All American Jock" when he did that. She looked back up from his upper body to his face. "Morning."

OOC: woops.. it just that int he show she wears skirts alot! ^_^ so everyone when u see "skirt" think short pants ^_^

IC: Hoping Lori didnt see his glances, Tommy looked up quickly and smiled saying, "Hey Lori. How are you? You wouldn't have happened to see Merton would you?" Tommy's eyes could not stop wondering all over Lori's body. He had to run over one of Merton's relaxation poems in his head or he'd wolf out!

Lori

"Merton? No. Of course, he might STILL be avoiding me because of the punch two nights ago... I REALLY didn't mean to hurt him, but he scared the hell out of me wearing that leotard...I thought he was some sort of perverted freak. I mean, it's the middle of the night, in the park, and some black figure comes up and starts doing a little "Trace" type thing trying to hyponotise me..."
Suddenly the reality that Lori was ranting struck her. Promptly she stopped talking of the subject.
"So how are you doing?"

Need Stacey!

OOC: If anyone is interested, the part of Stacey is still open and we DO need her in this thread! Thanks!

Ooo~ooh! And I fond a neat little BWoC character page (To give deeper character info and picture). Even tells why Stacey went away! ^^

Merton

OOC: That's where I got all of my info on BWOC ... had to study the part you know ... Merton is *TOTALLY* me... hehe
=======================

Merton stops at his locker quickly, opening it up, gazing into the mirror making sure his hair is spiked enough. Smiling he flipped up the collar on his black leather jacket, his favorite blue specked shirt was layered over a black t-shirt underneath.

Closing his locker, he proceeded around the corner to Lori's locker, doing a double take as he sees Tommy checking her out.

"Hey there, Tommy," taking two steps back, nodding slightly. "Lori. You -- aren't going to hit me again are you?"

Lori

Lori looks at Merton, smiling slightly at his question. "Not unless you freak me out like that again."
Looking down the hall Lori could see Tim and Travis doing their usual morning ritual of picking on the geeky kids as they made their way in the direction of the small group consisting of Lori, Merton, and Tommy. The sound of Pleasantville's top chemist slamming into a locker echoed down the clean corridor with a sharp, booming clash.

Merton

"I don't know what you think you're doing, but I didn't do it," Merton says, pressed firmly against the wall. "Besides, this is no way to treat the *President* of the Gothic Fantasy guild, I'll have you know. Uhh -- right? Guys?"

Merton looks to Lori and Tommy, giving them the "Come on guys, back me up here!" look.

Lori

Lori walks inbetween Travis and Tim. "Come on guys...leave Merton alone."
"Dingle made us fail the big English XII quiz! He covered up his paper and he KNEW we were copying it!"
Lori lets out a sigh. "Oh geez. Just because he's smarter...and smaller...than you, doesn't mean you have to be such jerks."
At this time Travis reaches out his hand for Merton's throat, lifting him a foot into the air. "What did I tell you about helping me out in class, huh, Dingle??"
Lori takes the oppertunity to rib shot Travis with her elbow, causing him to drop Merton to the floor and sharply turn to Lori with a side-swing. Luckily, Lori expected this reaction and ducks, allowing Travis to nail Tim in the shoulder. The two begin pushing each other back and forth with idle threats, their stupidity allowing them to forget about their fore-activity of pounding Merton.

Merton

Merton wraps his arm around Lori quickly. "Thanks Lori. I owe you one. Or two perhaps because of the twins. Oh well it's no matter, we'll settle it later. What do you say we exit," points in the opposite direction of the twins, "that-a-way?"

Lori

Lori smiles at her odd companion. "Sounds like a good plan to me." She turns to bid Tommy farewell. "I'll see you later, Tommy. I trust you'll be at the Factory tonight; it is Friday, afterall."
After the affirmation of her statement, Lori began walking down the hall with Merton.

OOC: Here's where I'm going to take a certain liberty with the BWOC storyline. Don't know whether or not Merton and Lori have *ANY* classes together, but let's assume they have at least one together.
============================

"Judging by the way students are scurrying toward class, and since we're basically doing the same -- I'd guess it's 3 minutes to 8AM. Go ahead, check your watch ... I know I'm right."

She looked at her watch. The time read "7:56:57."

Lori

"Three seconds off...but close enough." Lori smiled. "Observant of you, Mr. President." ('Mr. President' being said with a mocking tone, since he is the President of the Gothic Fantasy Club.) "What are you going to do next, roll a perfect 18 on base stat intellegence?"
Lori was fully aware of Merton's little obsession of AD&D, though she had never told him that she used to play it at her old school -- mostly to upset her parents, as they labelled it "satanic".

"I'd say that is the next item on my agen -- were you holding out on me?"

He looked deeply into her eyes. And suddenly he felt he could melt. She was the girl of his dreams! Nah, it'd never work. But she might very well replace Sarah Michelle Geller. No, that wouldn't work either. Sarah Michelle would never forgive him.

Lori

"Just a little." She smiled warmly. "I haven't played AD&D since I transferred to public school..."
Lori returned Merton's gaze, looking into his eyes. She couldn't help but think of how sweet he was...and how attractive he was, as well. Of course, she was still iffy with Tommy...and she couldn't sure if she could let Merton jepordize that. She would not, under any circumstances, allow herself to come between Merton and Tommy...

The morning bell sounded through Pleasantville High, just as Lori and Merton were walking through the door to their first period class.

Merton had since released Lori, as much as he regretted it. But he had to keep up appearances. Tommy, BWOC that he was, probably wouldn't like it too much if he thought Merton was moving in on "his territory."

Merton sat behind Lori, placing his bag underneath his desk making sure to keep it out of the trodden-path of the unweary. Amulets and valuables such as he kept in his back pack were far too valuable for any "mere mortal" to crush to itsy bitsy pieces.

Oh yes, it was going to be an exciting day at Pleasantville High today.
