The English have this wonderfully repressed outer exterior with all these seething, kinky, sexual fetishes lurking beneath the surface. It shows in the writing of authors like English Bob and p p man. I love it. The Americans just have Presidents who get girls to do strange things with cigars in the Oval office. Very in your face. Not romantic. Aussies have former Prime Ministers who leave their long-suffering wife for a sycophantic biographer. Very droll. Very predictable. Brits on the other hand have politicians who are found strangled in drag whilst trying to perform some autoerotic asphysixiation act. No wonder they write such great stories. So much material. Well done to Bob and all our Brit authors.
