Slightly graphic, not intended for the queesy:

I am very embarrassed about this, but I am in dire straits. I just need to vent, but if I seem to be a whining, attention seeking bitch, I am sorry. I am just going mad right now. If you have noticed me posting this week, more than I have lately, it is because I was home sick from work. Well, I thought I had come down with the flu, and I was just thinking that the worst of it would be over in a day or so. Well, uh, I was puking up white creamy shit, and my poo was pasty and 'weird', and I hurt all over my body. Well, come Thursday it wasn't getting any better and it was actually getting worse. On Tuesday, I had been experiencing the symptoms of a yeast infection on my outer labia, as it itched mildly and my clit hurt, but I had changed soaps, and just shaven and thought that might be the culprit. Well, untill two days later it is like I am being cauterized on my puss. :(

Okay, so Then I noticed that if my saliva got on my lips it burned and itches. My mouth was full of white pasty shit, no matter how much I brushed my teeth (natural tp and it is the best for getting mouth scum out "Jason:SeaFreash"). I noticed that my feet where burning and I was starting to burn on my hands, my scalp and under my boobs, and in my armpits.

What I am saying here is that I have a yeast infection all over and inside my body due to my immune system condition and because of my allergies, the only meds I can take are the vaginal creams, and then yogurt for my digestive tract infection. The drugs to cure an internal infection all have color added. :(

I burn from head to toe. Sleeping is atrociously hard, and I have been in tears on and off because the pain is so unbearable.

Am I up shits creek without a paddle? My doctor is useless because the Pharmicutical manufacturers think that pills have to be pretty.

Does ANYONE have any ideas of what I can do to deal with this infection that has engulfed me? Has anyone ever had a yeast infection in their stomach? I know it is uncommon, but I just figured I'd see if anyone had.

I bought garlic pills because garlic is anti fungal, but I don't know it I can keep that sort of thing down long enough to do anything, if in fact they even work. :(

Help!

Honey, please go see a doctor. Go now. You might have more than a yeast infection, and your syptoms sound bad to me.

I hate to see a fish out of water.

:rose:

Garlic should help, fishie!

I am so sorry. I can't imagine being in your shoes.

Hugs....

Lactobacillus Acidophilous

Oh, Starfish. That's awful. In addition to eating yogurt, you can buy capsules of live lactobacillus culture, and take it orally. You can also break the capsules open and apply the organisms topically wherever the itch is. And you can insert a capsule into your vagina to rebalance the flora there, too. I hope you feel better, soon. Good luck.

(I have had very good luck with the lactobacillus. It worked for me. Give it a try. it's a lot easier than eating quarts and quarts of yogurt.)

TWB, I mean no disrespect, but my situation is slightly complex, and I don't want to go into that here, again, but my doctor cannot help me. Never has been able to, never will. I've been on the phone with the office, and his reply was that he cannot help me, as I already knew that. If I were to have a colored discharge then there might be something more wrong with me, but that this is a yeast infection and that I will have to do what I can naturally come up with to cure it.

The only thing a doctor would be good for in my case would be to charge me money I don't have.

I thought of buying some, but it is VERY expensive here. I can get it in powder form, and although stomaching it to get it down will be hard, it may be for the best.

I like the topical idea. Hadn't thought of that. I thought of bathing in yogurt though, but could you imagine the sour milk smell by tonight?

What is yeast infection?
Infected yeast(by fungi) contains LSD.

Go to see a specialist Doctor in any case.

Get well soon, Star.:(

I agree with TWB

At least get a diagnosis and an allopathic opinion. Once you know what you are dealing with I could suggest some Chinese herbal formulas, even formulate one specifically for you. If you would like, PM me with more details and we can talk. Just want you to be well.

another idea

Try warm/lukewarm bath soaks with colloidal oatmeal (aveeno). That should help the itch. Maybe aloe leaf applied topically would be helpful, too. I'd suggest doing an internet search on the yeast thing. Sounds like a huge case of Candidiasis Albicans (did I spell that right?) and there's a tremendous body of literature available about that. I don't doubt that there are several homeopathic or home remedies available to you. Also, cut down on sugar if you can. Yeasts love to eat sugar best. And drink plenty of water. Good luck.

CV, a yeast infection is caused by the bacteria Candida. Not ergot which is the fungus that LSD is derived from. Ergot is found on Rye seed. Not in people.

Oh fuck, that's bad.

Make sure you aren't using anti bacterial soap, and stop taking any antibiotics.

Here's a link I've found, I don't know if it will help with something this severe, but it's worth a look.

Good luck Starfish, I can't imagine what you're going through. Do what you've got to do and charge it to a credit card if you have to. Your health is very important.

go for the powder form.

The bacteria are still active. There are a half billion organisms in a 100 mg capsule, so you should get pretty far with a bottle or however the powder comes. If you can't get it inexpensively, let me know and I can send you a bottle. Costs me $7 here in Georgia.

itchy skin

what always helped me was (I know it sounds stupid and really yuck but it does help)...

bathtub full of warm water, add about 2 liters of full-fat milk, buttermilk, cream or yoghurt (the fatter the better) that you mixed with 10 drops of 100% essential, non-synthetic Lavender or TeeTrea oil. Bath for 20min.
This is very nutritious for your skin and the lacobacillous also might help combat your skin condition.

Another thing to try is to make a cammomile infusion - go to your local drugstore and get real dried cammomile flowers, prepare them accordingly and use it as a bathingredient. Or just see if they have some ready made infusion.

Green Tea is also known to have antibacterial effects. :)

I hope you get well really soon, Ms Fishie! :rose: & a teddybear

Halo :rose:

I don't mean to offend and I'm sure you've considered this option if you haven't already been to one by this time...but have you consulted with an immunologist?

I'm soooo sorry to hear of your dilemma. I give you a lot of credit for not just bagging it in. I can't imagine how uncomfortable you must be by now.

I'm with the "eat a lot of yogurt" crew, and maybe you could apply the vaginal cream elsewhere on your skin? Yeast is yeast, right? If it's mild enough to put inside your body it's probably fine to put elsewhere on your skin, right?

No disrespect assumed. I am in no way of the opinion that docs are gods. If s/he said it was just a yeast infection, and ruled out other problems maybe I would think that the suggestions here are appropriate. The fact that you were blown off without a doctor visit (true??) bothers me.

However, there are alot of stupid doctors out there, and perhaps you have one of them. You sound like you are in alot of pain and discomfort and I am worried something else might be going on or caused by the yeast infection.

Sorry if due to my lack of being a woman I am not in tune with a "normal" yeast infection, but but what you have sounds pretty bad and not a normal yeast infection. Only you know for sure, I know I don't. I just would hate to see you have a permanent problem because you have a doctor not worth his/her salt.

Otherwise, I would take a bath in cranberry juice. (heh).

I've been diagnosed so going to a doctor will only cost me money I dont' have. I didn't want to go into this, but for those who don't know, I have immune supression, and failure and have spent the majority of my life under the care of doctors who never even figured out what was wrong with me. I had to take medical biology myself, and seek the varied opinions of qualified people, such as immune specialists, allergists, to find out why I've been ill my whole life. Once I found out the cause, it was a little late.

I've had many yeast infections in my life, but just never on my whole body. I now worry that this was a sign of my over all condition worsening. But, I cannot say that because before this happened, I've been feeling better than ever. Well, at least mentally. I have boils too. More than usual. These are all part of my immune system failure, but why is it getting worse, when I am eating healthy, excersizing and taking extra care of myself?

I found this site.

No, not blown off. There is just no sense in my going for a 50 dollar visit when, as my established doctor, knowing my entire case, is aware that he can't offer me anything more than natural remidies. I would know it if it was more than a yeast infection.

This is the 5 millionth time I've been infected with something in the past 10 years, and now that I am aware of what my condtionis, we are all in agreement that nothing can be done by the doctor for my infections, because I cannot take antibiotics or most oral meds for regualr infections.

That seems like a good place to start.

I'd be cautious, though, because that site is selling services. Use the site for links and clues to further your research, definitely. I'd do a google search for Candidasis (however the fuck you spell it) and homeopathy, or Candidasis and home remedies, or Candidasis and cause of symptoms. Plug in all your options, and you'll be able to figure it out. Which I know is easier said than done, because you're itching like hell. Have you taken an antihistamine like Benadryl or anything to stop the itch? I don't know if that would be a good idea or not, but I'd probably do it out of desperation.

Have you seen an Eastern doctor? They have those in most places with a healthy sized oriental population. They're generally on the cheaper side and you won't find pharmaceutical advertisements telling you to ask your doctor about the wonder drug du jour.

yet another thought

Have you considered switching to a female practitioner? A woman might be more well versed in your situation. I don't really think your doctor has researched all the options that are out there for you. I also think just pet's suggestion to visit a Chinese or allopathic practitioner is excellent. Western medicine might not be the best option here. In fact, I think it's obvious that Western medicine is failing you miserably. I'd like to kick your doctor for you. It would make me feel much better.

Fishie, I'm so sorry you're going through this.

Yeast is a nasty organism. My son and I gave it back and forth to each other when I was breast feeding him. From my nipples, to his mouth and back again. It was a nightmare.

Yeast can live on your clothing. I was told to wash all of my bras in HOT water to kill it. You might want to do that with your sheets and clothing that has come in contact with the yeast.

Good luck sweetie.

Just Pet offered some Chinese remedies advice. I will consider it wholeheartedly.

I won't buy into anything. I am not like that anyway. I just look for information on that kind of site.

Cirrus, thank you for the sound advice. I will start to go to one regularly once I can get insureance. I don't own a credit card, so I can't charge. However, I am not broke, just cautious about where my money goes.

Thank you all so much.

I am going fucking mad right now, so sorry if I can't reply to messages on here for a bit.

How awful! I know what you mean about clothing. Clothing acts as a wick to absorb moisture and all sorts of nasty stuff. I am doing laundry now.

I went through four pairs of panties yesterday. :(

i dont have any advice to offer since everyone here that is offering advice clearly knows a lot more about it then i would

but i do know what you've been having to go through starfish with your low immune system so all i can say is im really honestly wishing you well *hugs*

Fish, the one I consulted didn't take insurance because insurance didn't consider him an "MD."

He knew more about my seizures than the stupid Neuros I've seen. He couldn't give me medication because I was in the military at the time and a prescription is an order, but he could tell me a lot of things to avoid eating and to eat more of.

I hope you feel better, soon.

:(
