President Biden’s tax hike plan would cost the American economy one million lost jobs in the first two years, according to a study from the National Association of Manufacturers.

The study, released Thursday, details the long and short-term damage to the economy inflicted by Biden’s tax hikes and repeals of Trump’s pro-manufacturing policies.

NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons summarized the studies findings:

“After decades of advocating for a tax system that provided competitive rates and modern international tax provisions, manufacturers in America kept our promises following the enactment of the 2017 tax reforms: we raised wages and benefits, we hired more American workers, and we invested in our communities. If we undo those reforms, all of that will be put at significant risk. Manufacturing workers will lose out on jobs, growth and raises. We should be building on that progress, not rolling it back. But the conclusion of this study is inescapable—follow through with tax hikes that give other countries a clear advantage and we’ll see far fewer jobs created in America.”

You keep referencing Breitbart like it means something.

No they won't cost jobs; they'll create jobs. Some workers will have to regear, yes. Nothing new about that as the world progresses.

Did the National Association of Manufacturers make that statement? If so, does the fact that it was quoted in Breitbart make the statement invalid, or incorrect in anyway?

Fuckwits like you who don't bother to research the underlying sources drive me up a wall.

What the article doesn't address is the fact that any tax hikes on businesses hit the consumer. Businesses DON'T pay taxes, you do. If the government raises my taxes I just pass the increase along to the consumer of my goods/services and if it make me noncompetitive with offshore producers, well, I just go offshore myself.

Another thing the article doesn't address is the fact that those industries that did make the investment to return their manufacturing to the US and are now faced with offshoring again will NEVER come back to the US..................EVER.

That's the thing. Breitbart, like everyone else, links to their sources.

You can get it straight from the horses mouth
and it will still be saying the same thing.

Yes, it probably does. It's a strong indication that either NAM is just a right-wing front group (as indeed it is, with a decades-long record of union-busting and fighting tooth and nail against any regulations whatsoever), or that Breitbart is quoting them out of context. No need for that in this case, though.
