Report: Joe Biden Blames Aides for 40-Year-High Inflation

WENDELL HUSEBØ1 Jun 2022

President Joe Biden reportedly blamed his staff for 40-year-high inflation, the Washington Post reported Wednesday.

Instead of taking responsibility for the price hikes, Biden has reportedly shifted the blame to aides for not confronting the spike in costs partly generated by his own fiscal and energy policies.

“Biden has privately grumbled to top White House officials over the administration’s handling of inflation, expressing frustration over the past several months that aides were not doing enough to confront the problem directly,” the Post reported.

As a part of the PR campaign, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen on Tuesday directly admitted during a press interview that she and the president had failed to accurately assess that inflation would clime to a 40-year-high. The White House claimed in 2021 that inflation was “transitory.”

“Well, look, I think I was wrong then about the path that inflation would take. As I mentioned, there have been unanticipated and large shocks to the economy that have boosted energy and food prices and supply bottlenecks that have affected our economy badly that I didn’t — at the time didn’t fully understand,” Yellen acknowledged. “But we recognize that now.”

So he is frustrated with his staff for the messaging about inflation, which is what he is being hammered on the most about in the public.

Shocking ¯\(°_o)/¯

Fuck that guy.
Breibart too for that matter. Why you assholes always go there for confirmation bias? Biden bad. Well no shit. Don't need a shitty site to tell me that. I get my news from reputable places like infowars.

The proper takeaway here is that he isn't really making the decisions on what to do, he just signs off on them after being assured by his "staff" that all is well and he won't be sorry.

That's your takeaway here because of your BDS...yes.

No. That's my take based on my knowledge of facts and evidence known to the public about Joe Biden, the premier political failure of our time.

That is the administration taking accountability. They are admitting that there is a problem and that they failed to anticipate some factors. Gee, what unusual things have happen lately?

When has anyone in the GOP (besides Liz Cheney) claimed accountability for anything?

What it means is, Joe Biden lied to the American people when he said it was all Putin's fault.

Tip: When you see Breitbart quote a Washington Post article, don't post that. Post the Post article. Never, ever post anything from Breitbart, that only embarrasses you and the whole board.

Trump blames everyone but himself for everything. JFK said the buck stops with me. Trump said not my dollar lol

It's hard to post anything constructive in a Rightgardadalor706 thread, but I'll try here:

One problem with inflation, and fuel prices in the U.S. is this:
Consider a farmer in England, Italy, or Japan versus the U.S. The cost of transporting goods in those countries is far lower due to shorter distances. Now consider the cost of transporting corn grown in Iowa, Potatoes grown in Idaho, wheat from Kansas, or oranges grown in Florida, to California and/or New York City. Five hundred miles at a minimum from Idaho to California, much longer for the other aforementioned crops to pretty much any big coastal city. Since it uses more fuel to ship things long distance, it also costs more to ship them. Which makes them cost more, and affects the prices more acutely in the U.S. than in other countries where food produced on farms doesn't have to be transported as far.

China doesn't have quite the same problems, as most food produced there is grown locally close to the cities where it is consumed, and shipped short distances. This, by government decree (which obviously wouldn't work anywhere else but there.)

One SOLUTION, in non-centrally planned economies like the U.S, would be for people to rely on local farmer's markets for wholesale food prices, as opposed to relying on supermarkets. In short: Buy local crops, that don't have the added cost of having to be shipped halfway across the continent.

Local farmer's markets are more expensive to begin with and when you look at the hikes in prices for most foods they aren't anywhere close to as high as the increase in fuel. That part largely balances itself out at least in the medium term. We'll see how far it gets.

We are definitely at a point now where something is going to have to give pretty soon.

Every single form of government across the globe is experiencing crazy inflation.

Every
Single
Fucking
One
Of
Them

I'm honestly a bit curious how everyone seems to be, there must be a few of them that aren't affected even if they are mostly off the reservation.

The study finds few in the Biden administration have any business experience whatsoever. That being so, it's easy to see why their policies are so detrimental to the economy.

Not Ready for Prime Time Players: Majority of Biden Appointees have Zero Years of Business Experience

Stephen Moore Jon Decker *With special thanks to Zachary Cady, PhD, for research assistance

Based on our survey of the top 68 officials in the Biden administration, starting with the president himself, and including cabinet members, regulatory officials, and White House advisers, this study finds:

• 62% of Biden appointees who deal with economic policy, regulation, commerce, energy and finance have virtually no business experience. • Only one in eight has extensive business experience.
• Average business experience of Biden appointees is only 2.4 years.
• Median years of business experience is zero.
• The vast majority of the Biden economic/commerce team members are professional politicians, lawyers, community organizers, lobbyists, or government employees. We also compared the Biden administration's business experience to President Trump's cabinet officials during his last year in office. We found that the average Trump cabinet member had 13 years of business experience, and the median years of experience was 8. A breakdown of this analysis is available on our website.

It's not like he appointed an inexperienced surgeon as director of HUD or something crazy like that.

He swerved back to blaming the gas station operators..................again in statements he made over there. Just goes to show that old white guys can be "victims" too. :p

He has to blame someone. Dr. Jill keeps reminding him, it's not your fault, it's certainly not our policy, so we are being undermined and we cannot blame big oil, they'll bankroll Republicans to defeat us, so we need to blame the little guy, the guy who can't fight back. The people paying for gas see him, not you. So attack the middle class as much as possible, it's the poor and the rich that will keep you in office. I want to be here for six more years Joe, so get with the program and to everything, blame, blame, blame...,

Cheney is facing accountability in her home state. She's behind 20 points in her run for reelection.

Not so, he blames his economic success as President on himself. I'm talking about the DOW going from 19,000 to 31,000 while he was President, energy independence, border enforcement, and the 1.7% inflation rate he left to Joe Biden, all of which have been squandered by a vindictive, mentally disturbed, incompetent.
