I mean, is it such an absurd idea that a president who lost the popular vote first time around, who has been so divisive and polarising for four years, who then presides over a catastrophic public health crisis where at least a quarter of a million citizens dies and the economy enters the biggest recession in history...and he loses? That doesn't seem that unlikely a scenario to me.

Clearly there's a big chunk of the country that loves Trump, but his approval rating never hit 50%. He's incredibly unpopular with at least half the country. His defeat seems pretty unsurprising to me.
