The MAIN difference between Democrats and "republicans" when it comes to the border and immigration, is that Democrats know it costs MONEY to secure the border and expedite asylum claims in a humane manner.

The "republicans" continue to propose massive border projects without providing the revenue offsets to pay for them. Hell, the "republicans " actually produce legislation that reduces revenue.

Oh, wait…, Mexico was going to pay for the border wall, and ALL illegal immigration was going to be stopped simply by building that wall.



The "republicans" also involved the US in massive foreign wars without the revenue offsets to pay for them. Again, the "republicans" actually produced legislation that REDUCED federal revenue.



ALL of that un-funded spending was part of the "republican" plan to bankrupt the federal government so they could plead poverty as their justification to slash Social Security and Medicare benefits when the baby boomers started retiring,; all in service to maintaining their wealthy donors extravagant lifestyles.
