I've railed against nominating a dummy who hates ed as the ed leader from day one.
They deserve debt forgiveness.
I guess it was a drown-it-in-a-bathtub thing. Some people don't want a DoE at all.
Not one fucking bit is it needed.

If you look around the world at all the countries whose educational systems are generally agreed to produce better results than ours, one thing they all have in common is centralized national control of the system.
That was trumps whole cabinet…burn it all down.
I’d be down with forgiving some amount of debt due to predatory lending practices. But students who took out the loans shouldn’t be off the hook entirely.
1) We aren't other nations.
We're not so different.
Why??
Why should they get a free ride while others have to work years to pay for theirs??![]()
13 US service members killed. After checking his watch during the dignified transfer at Dover, Biden strikes back. At Betsy DeVos. Great post Lory.

Part of the problem is people who could never make it in an reputable college, lying to themselves and thinking they can go to college and signed up for classes at a degree mill. They signed up to pay for a useless degree, from a school that would offer them no real job prospects and now what those loans forgiven.
What predatory lending practices???
Loaning people money for an unmarketable degree (D)'eez promised was the answer to poverty and all of societies woes, isn't predatory lending.
It's shitty do-gooder lefty policy.
Had these fuckin' people had to go get a loan where there was someone other than the taxpayers ass on the line, they wouldn't have EVER gotten any loans for their low value degrees.

BoomBoom doesn't realize this thread is six months old?
You had Uncle Sugar pay your educational expenses. Don't be hatin' because others did too.![]()
Another dishonest deflection from LiarDownSouth.
I noticed you couldn't explain why some should get a free ride while others like myself have to pay.
Maybe. It’s true that reputable colleges won’t admit or discourage applicants who are a long shot to graduate.
But those degree mills, and the associated loan programs, are predatory and make promises they can’t keep, in essence defrauding the students. I’m sure many signed up for what they thought were marketable degrees only to be SOL, aka trump university.
I’m not claiming the students shouldn’t be held to some responsibility, but that such predatory practices also be held accountable.
Would it satisfy you if nobody had to pay, if higher education were a free public service like elementary and secondary?
