Biden Cuts the Deficit

It's been true ever since the Republicans started pretending to care about deficits: Democratic presidents always cut them, Republican ones always make them worse. But an absurdly high share of voters believe the opposite because the right wing shit machine screams the loudest.
 
Anybody who claims deficit reduction is more important than anything else will change his tune the moment his own ox is gored. "Keep your government hands off my Medicare!"
 
Yep, every year of Trump's term (as with all Republicans) the deficit was added to. You have to have a Democratic president to get a deficit reduction. This is one of those big Republican lies they like to bring up to fool the dumb masses who vote for them.

Biden is some kind of economic genius! He stopped giving money away and reduced the deficit! Brilliant!

But... the US, the largest debtor nation in history, will still need to borrow almost a trillion dollars this year to keep afloat.

Try telling that to the mom desperately trying to find formula.
Try telling that to the elders forced back into the workforce because their fixed payments are not keeping up.

Yes, clearly, this is the best of times if you are a pure partisan terrified of the upcoming elections
where, I predict, suddenly all sorts of fraud and suppression will be discovered.

And this fake anger at the SCOTUS to create energy with the base?
Reuters is reporting that pro-choice women are worried about,
*gasp* , who could believe it, INFLATION!

He did not eliminate the deficit, he temporarily slowed down the deficit
after lockdowns, out-of-control spending, and even greater deficits.
Then when freed, people desperate to work really did try to catch up
and revenues went up and inflation showed up and taxes reflected that.

Then in the middle of sully-chain woes, Biden and Mayor Pete were so
worried about it that Biden simply blamed someone else and Pete
went on maternity leave because that was more important than
the working class and its problems and trust me, right now, they
are not worried about the artificial machinations to prove Bicen competent,
but are more worried about being slapped in the face by the record inflation
which proves him incompetent. But he's ALWAYS been incompetent.
He just wasn't Trump...

Nobody ever claimed Biden "eliminated" teh Federal deficit, although you and your tribe demand it each time there is a Democrat occupying teh White House.

So it has been in every economic recovery since the 1970s. For some reason, which has never been the Dems' fault, save that they sin by omission, fail to live up to their talk, and let the plutocracy have its wicked way.

It’s funny how Biden is taking credit for deficit reduction when he begged and pleaded and whined about his 3+ trillion dollar BBB bill. Wonder what the deficit would have been had that bill passed. He should thank Manchin, Sinema and republicans for saving his incompetent ass.

Can you imagine inflation even higher than it is now.

They’re making Biden out to be this economic wizard, he’s nothing short of an incompetent fool committing national suicide. Biden gave a presser yesterday taking credit for deficit reduction, it took 3 barf bags to get through that one.
 
As Trump-Era pandemic programs (the ones that brought is the treatments that Biden also claimed as his own)
are winding down, the government is now spending less, that's not the Biden effect/miracle.

I sure hope so, because the Democrat Congress did not cut back on its spending.
They just got lucky on the books. They didn't get a hand in that popular spending splurge,
so now they have to pretend to be responsible for a deficit savings, when, in fact,
thanks to the miracle of interest, it still keeps growing like a weed in the flower bed.
