I was watching "The Road to Wellville" (hilarious movie!) and a character mentioned the "Bicycle Smile" while they were riding bikes. If there is any doubt - she was referring to getting sexual pleasure from the bicycle seat.

I have also heard other references to women getting pleasure from riding motorcycles - the vibration between their legs and so on (maybe this is why badly vibrating Harleys are so popular?).

So - another infamous Shy Tall Guy poll; Do you get sexual enjoyment/stimulation from riding a bicycle or motorcycle??

Please read all options before voting.

I love that movie! Too few people have seen it, IMO.

I didn't vote in your poll. I haven't ridden a bike in ages, though i do have a really nice mountain bike gathering dust in the garage right next to the motorcycle and the boat. *sigh* suck expensive cast away toys...

anyway, if there had been an option for arousal LOOKING at motorcycles... Imay have voted yes. I live on I-29 and it's the main drag to get from anywhere south to Sturgis. I looove Harley season! :D

Horses, bicycles, motorbikes and washing machines (spin cycle only)

How about numb nuts from long rides.........no smile there!

Well then here you go. This is an old Henderson Exelsior. This was one of the bikes at the Vintage Motorcyclist Enthusiasts meeting.

Yep - I should have thought of that. I personally have that problem with bicycles, even the later ones with much better seats. I sometimes get Monkey Butt on my motorcycles if I have been riding all day.

However, women's anatomies are different and I think I will get more positive responses from them.

And here is one of the most beautiful bikes there. A Vincent (Black Shadow I think) - beautifully restored and maintained. Brit bikes are such a value - much cheaper than Harleys, a lot more fun to ride, and nowhere near as common.

Now... as to whether I ever get ridden - I am sorry to say it has been a long time...

Maybe someday.

And people think I actually use my Exercycle, AirDyne and recumbent bike/rowing machine for the exercise!

I love to ride and it shows!
;)

STG......

First off.....nice Vinny mate :D

Second off.....if your ever in the UK for Xmas then the day after Xmas (boxing day) get your ass down to a little pub in kent called "The Pied Bull" at about 11:00 am then have a pint and watch as every type of bike ever made turns up to do the same, I went about 5 years ago and it's wonderful.

Remember The Pied Bull in Farningham Kent England Boxing day.

or go to the Isle Man for the TT races.....you'll love it but remeber to bring a spare liver to deal with all the beer you'll drink over the week ;)

Not mine - but it is nice isn't it. There are some nice bikes in Seattle. One of these days I will get the last year of a Norton Commando. A guy in Oregon does ground up rebuilds including a lot of enhancements - spendy ($23K) but worth it.

One of these days I am going to spend a summer touring England, including the TT races. From what I understand you have some great auto jumbles (jambles?) there.

http://www.classicmotorcycle.co.uk/

This is the site belonging to a great magazine here and if you want to know about auto jumbles here you should try to buy a copy or two of Motocyle news (MCN), it comes out every wednesday here and is a good paper.

The TT is all about racing and drinking although not together, on mad sunday you can race the mountain circuit with no speed limit.....but I'd give it a miss myself (they don't call it mad sunday for nothing mate) as well as the beer there's usually a rock concert or two and the odd strip show...it's a VERY male week.

Should you crash your bike while there you will need to go and buy a plastic bucket.....?........which you then hang on the wreckage of your bike and people throw coin's in the bucket to help you get home and rebuild, theft from the buckets is almost unheard of.

I used to ride quite a bit, even amateur race a little. I remember my first century; when I stopped and laid down on the lawn my legs just kept going - the muscles twitching.

Bicycling taught me a lot about endurance, both stamina and pain, but after I became a decrepit old man ;) I had to give up bicycling as my spine would not longer take leaning over like that. Maybe a recumbant would help - but I am again hooked on motorcycling.

I love riding through the woods on hot day; the oxygen and cool air comes off the trees, mixed with the scent of pine, mixed with fir and all the other plants.

Ambrosia!

*sighs*
