I can only assume this linking of muscle tone and leadership qualities in the American redneck mind (and I use the word 'mind' quite loosely) is what led to the election of Governor Schwarzenegger. Nothing else comes close to explaining it.

No wonder you conservatives couldn't stand FDR, the lazy cripple. It was only thanks to the lean, ripped figure of Winston Churchill that the war was won at all.
