Biblical stories

Just recently finished reading blackrandl's "First Estate", and I am looking for similar fantasy novels here.

It is simply time consuming and hard to find a specific type of story, so I am hoping a good samaritan here might have some good recommendations.

Have you tried google or tag searches on BIBLE, BIBLICAL, GENESIS, JESUS, MAGDALENE etc? BTW I've been cooking a couple of biblical tales but they'll be sardonic: what Jesus did in his lost years, and how a time-traveling mad scientist ends up with Eve, Ruth, and Mary. What kind of 'biblical' do you want?
