hi!

i see byron failed to post a birthday thread for me this year, which disappoints me. i also won't count on him to put flowers on my grave, either.

KAH's been mentioning me in threads, as recently as yesterday. nice to know y'all still think about "me."

i'm happy to report that i reached the top, ultimate level of the education video game, and now teach extremely well-educated, privileged kids at a small, rich liberal arts college. which means that i spend a lot of my time having fun, stimulating conversations with students and colleagues, triangulating and juggling abstract concepts and concrete phenomena. seriously, that is basically what i do.

my ten-year anniversary of joining lit is nigh. laurel, do we get a commemorative dish or perhaps a t-shirt? maybe rosco visits and takes me out for martoonis. perhaps all of you can contribute a couple bucks to make help make that--or the dish / t-shirt--happen. i need a morale booster; you do, too.

what i'm really trying to say is it's nice to come back here...every year and a half or so. how many people have a dirty, back alley internet den that, even after ten years, for the most part still looks the same. i've lived on three continents, in countless apartments, and with numerous boyfriends in that time. lit is my anchor--it's my rock. MY ROCK! :rose:

Hello, my name is the blobfish. I'm new here, but very controversial; you either hate me or you dislike me. There's no middle ground.

I like the T-shirt/commemorative plate idea. -nods-

Welcome home!

I got a mousepad for my 10-year anniversary, advertising the infamous "Lit book." I know Laurel was just cleaning out the attic, but it was still appreciated.

Always good to see you here. A few years ago, I sent a PM to a newbie who was an art student, telling her that you were the board's art expert and would be a good person to get to know. Now we're living together. So, indirect thanks!

I got a giant coffee mug at a lit-together once. It got cracked earlier this year, which was sad.

It's always good to see you around. And bringing Cleo out of her lurking is a bonus.

Hi! That's wonderful, congrats!

I'm so happy to see somebody interesting posting again!

It's been like a black hole around here lately :D

Maybe I'm just bad at math, but if you're join date reads "Dec 2001" then wasn't the ten year thing last year?

I'm not even sure Olivianna knows me, but I've always sort of considered her our matchmaker, too. Thanks Olivianna! :)

I see the check-in part, but when does the OP get to the bi-stuff?
