So what bad happened to you today?

I'll go first: One of my closest friend's father passed away this evening. :(

Your turn.

My condolences :rose:

Somebody egged the house, hard enough to dent the screen on the windows.

So sorry for your loss, liz :rose:

But, really, The Ides are a turning-point time- things can swing either way in the middle of the month.
From some things that I heard today, I'm hoping they'll swing for the better for me...

Really, nothing bad happened to me today, at least nothing so serious. Was a perfectly equitable day. My husband was ALMOST defrauded by some weird scheme, but we caught it in time and reported it.

Good for you. Glad you didn't get stuck. :)

:( Sorry to hear that, Liz. :rose:

Nothing really horrible happened to me today. I got a bad grade on a Chemistry assignment because of a zillion little mistakes. Some crazy bitch pulled out in front of me and almost caused an accident, this morning. I was late for work, but that's pretty normal. Some lady stood out in the hallway and talked on her cellphone the entire time I was editing my professor's dissertation (as a favor) and it's 62 pages long and I only got to page 14 today, thanks to her inconsiderate ass. Dr. Phil didn't record. I couln't find a hair tie this morning. I think that's everything.

All the little things add up though. Sorry you didn't have a better day. :rose:

Ask my sons to regale you with tales of what happens when the red mist descends over their devoted mother.

Pissed off doesn't even come close.

Believe me.

Sorry, Liz, impertinent thread jack over.

my best friend had her children taken away 2 days ago...not because she was a bad parent, but because Social Services heard a complaint concerning her ex boyfriend. There was no basis for the complaint, no proof that the abuse (or whatever) happened and yet, they came in and removed 3 children from the home of one of the BEST mother's I know.

I am saddened and worried for her...

My grandmothers brother-in-law died. Met him a while back, he was a nice guy, truth be told I didn't know him too well.

i got woken up FIVE FUCKING HOURS early because the RA's blood pressure is up a little bit. Now HE gets to go to bed and -i- am stuck wide awake.

I had what I thought was shitty news a couple of days ago.
Now I'm happy for so many reasons - I think he may have done me a favor.

It's a weird but good time for me right now. :)

its an odd time but only you can make it a time of growth.

The Ides of March (15th) is a good day for me. My son's birthday! It was a calm, no hollaring, every listening day for everyone!

Now the day before, well, I coulda...
Only bad news Ive had for a few weeks is my uncle was found to be full of cancer to the point, they wont say how long he has. As well, a good friend's FIL has between two weeks and two months , cancer again!

Condolences and hugs to those who are feeling down. :rose:

My only lament today is that it's still fucking winter outside.

I had the usual incident for the ides of March. Bunch of guys in togas with long, sharp daggers called. I had the front desk tell them I was out all day. It worked again. SSDD.

I had the best day I've had in quite awhile. Since stella says it's a turning point, maybe that means things are going to get better.
