BEWARE: A Head's Up for All!

Hi everybody.
I will try to keep this as brief as possible, but it is something that I think that people need to be aware of, since it happened to a friend of mine about six months ago here and now I am a victim too. Clothed and unclothed pictures that I had posted of myself on the Lit threads mysteriously appeared on a commercial website without my consent, knowledge, or permission. (And some of the captions that were included were VERY hateful and unflattering such as “Dickless Wonder” and “Stupid Country Hick”.) Maybe if something similar happened to any one of you, you would not react this way. I feel prostituted and violated that some unfulfilled WOMAN (in this case) would stoop so low and be so vile and mean. What this party did not realize is that there was one picture that I lost in a hard drive crash over 9 months ago and did not have a backup copy. That picture magically appeared on this website, so there was NO doubt as to the source since I shared it with only one person. (I just contacted the website via email and they are being removed as I speak—they were SOLD for profit! GRRRR!) My feeling is that this lady is so desperate, unfulfilled, and miserable; that she must get joy only in causing pain for others. This is something that I fail to understand and she has my pity rather than my anger. I wish only happiness for all my Lit friends and although attitudes like hers do exist, I am floored by the viciousness and senselessness of this attack.

My point is to use discretion in what you post, because this COULD happen to any one of you, too. I discovered this website totally by accident during random web surfing and just wonder if it has happened to others (albeit without their knowledge.) Just be aware that there are some people you may be chatting with on the boards that may be a “couple of French fries short of having a Happy Meal!” aka mentally unstable.

I make one request to my friends here…please no posts or PM’s on the threads to me as I am not going to be around the Boards until I calm down a bit and will not be reading them period. I may take a day, a week, a month or more off—whatever it takes to do get my trust in people back that was violated. My friends know how to get ahold of me if they wish. Be careful--I don't want this to happen to ANY of you!!!

MOST of the people here at Lit. are really great, loving, and fun-loving people. It is a shame that there are some real jerks in here, too.

I hope AA is back soon. I don't know him well, but he sure seems to be one of the good ones. It always seems it is the good ones that get hurt around here. I don't understand why that is so. But it really bothers me.

I'm new here on Lit....but this has also happened at another website I use to go too..

I was a member of a webcam site...It was called Mplayer where you could go into a lobby or room with many people in it, and one person usually on cam....Well of course lots of time that person would be nude or semi-nude...

All you would have to do is click on the picutre...and it would go to your documents....Well someone must have taken alot of pictures...because before one there was a website called " Girls on cam or something like that...and yes 100's of pictures..of nude ladies..from the site..

So yes everyone be carefull of posting pictures...If you dont' want the whole world to see them...then be carefull of what you post...

plus...the wonderfull stories on here...i wonder if someone could just copy them and turn them in to some kind of publishing..and say that they wrote them.. not sure about that....not to up on copywrite laws...

It is a shame that all of the fun and excite you enjoy can be ruin by someone. It's painful to discover thinhs like that. I've been a geek since they invented electricity and was using the internet before domain names came into use and I forget sometimes that there are two truisms about this environment we can't ignore or forget

"No one knows you're a dog on the internet"

and

"Never post (or mail) anything you would not be comfortable seeing up on a bulletin board at work"

What really sucks is that its feels alot worst when someone ya know fucks ya over. Ya feel so violated. Sorry this happened to ya.
