For centuries, the elves of Eyreisson to the east have been at odds with the humans of Aedyria to the west. Recently the conflict had evolved into an all-out war over the disputed territory of the Hinterlands, a large swath of grassy hills and forests between the Greyback Mountains of the humans and the River Tuatha of the elves. These two geological features act as the border between the two nations all the way north, but both split off in separate directions in the Hinterlands, leaving the large area officially unclaimed by either side.
This hadn't been a problem until recently, as neither the elves nor humans cared much for the area. The discovery of raw mithril ore within the vast network of underground tunnels beneath the Hinterlands caused both Eyreisson and Aedyria to declare mining rights, which in turn led to the Mithril Wars.
Now, after nearly a decade of conflict and heavy losses on both sides, a ceasefire is called while the leaders of each try to negotiate a treaty. The humans and elves each set up their own camps on either side of Lake Talon, meeting along the southern shore each morning to discuss terms of a peaceful end to the war. But what they did not count on was a human prince and an elven princess fancying each other.
The young lovers kept their romance a secret as their fathers deliberated day in and day out for several weeks, with no clear treaty in sight. The situation then grows slimmer when the forbidden affair is discovered, and the prince and princess must flee to prevent their fathers from ripping them away from one another. They end up in the mithril tunnels, before stumbling into an ancient dwarven city. It has long since been abandoned, but they happen upon a dwarf treasure hunter named Thegan who agrees to help them.
He takes the young lovers with him through the Underway, a massive underground trade route connecting all major dwarven communities on the continent of Torridan. They gain allies in the dwarf city of Haudenmir, and ultimately return to the Hinterlands to claim it as a shared territory between elves, humans, and dwarves.
When the young lovers announce their intent to marry, their fathers both claim they are betrothed to the enemy, and ultimately the situation can turn out any number of ways.
I will play Prince Damian Allanmont of Aedyria and Ambassador Thegan Braerstone of Haudenmir. I need someone to play the elven princess, and if you want a secondary character, you could also play a love interest for Thegan.
