Beta Reader for First Submission

Hey folks. I've got a good start to my first story and I'm wondering if someone can give it a read before I keep plugging on. I'm in the process of a general re read and re write right now and would love some additional eyes to help me decide if it's worth moving forward.

General info is that it is a romantic story of an energy worker/witch who meets her life partner. It could be a stand alone or the beginning of a series. Please shoot me a PM or respond here if interested.

About how long is it, BackwoodsMama? Are you thinking Romance or Fantasy for a category? If it's under 20K words, I can look at it in the next few days. If it's longer, it may take me longer to look at it, but I'm between commitments at the moment. If this is a live request, I'll send you some references if you'd like.

Thank you so very much for your offer. As it stands the story is only just over 5k words. I really think it could fit solidly in either fantasy or romance. But, since sometimes folks don't like to be surprised with fantasy themes maybe fantasy would be best. As of now there is a pretty slow build of sexual tension, but that could be edited and shifted if it feels like a put off.

I have a family and have only just started writing again. So I don't have a ton of time to devote to the craft. I may have put my plea for a reader out too soon, but I wasn't sure how long it would take to find someone. Would it work for me to continue writing and refining for the next couple days, and then check back in with you? I doubt I'll make it past 20k words before touching base again. Let me know if that may work for you.

And thanks for your comment about the photo. Risking sounding too full of myself, I quite like it was well!

I'm a bit hot and bothered by this. I tots wrote a PM about how your images and the images you plant in my head make me really turned on.
