Beta comments as against Classic comments

I don’t read many stories but those I do I like to comment on and the majority of my comments are fairly long and all of them are intended to be constructive. I’ve just left a comment on a story which has prompted this post.

I prefer to write my comments using the Classic view because I write the comment in paragraphs to highlight the different comments and made it easier for the writer, and others, to read. Unfortunately anyone reading the comment using the Beta format gets it as one long block of text. I use my iPhone and perhaps it’s different reading comments in Beta on a PC?

We’ve all heard, quite rightly, the ‘use white space’ advice to other writers because long blocks of text will put readers off. So why can’t I read a comment in Beta in paragraphs when it’s written that way?

Have others noticed this or am I on my own and need a new phone?

It isn't just you / your phone. The beta does not allow spaces between paragraphs on my PC display, either.

I'm on Android using Beta and it's beautiful for me. Paragraphs in comments separate just fine.

I 'solve' the 'white space' issue by adding lines with only a single dot between paragraphs. It isn't perfect, but I think it's better than nothing.

I’ll try your white dot between paragraphs suggestion next time. It does sound as if it would solve my problem. It obviously doesn’t affect me I just don’t want it to affect the writer. I write it for their benefit not mine. If the comment is only 50 words it’s not important but last time it was five times that amount.

Thanks for the suggestion.
