I used to just grab some olive oil from the kitchen but then found peanut oil kinder to my knob for repeated edging.

I like to edge, so something even smoother that will let be do lots more strokes before it irritates would be nice.

your better off staying with the naturals like coconut oil... especially if your complexion is anything like mine. If I use Vaseline for EVEN a quick jerk, I will breakout so bad I flash back to being thirteen again. If I try to use Vaseline for an edge session, my face will break out my back will break out, its a mess and TOTALLY NOT WORTH the EFFORT.

Most of the time for self service I like me and my hand.
Massage and hand jobs, coconut oil with jobaba added to meet your particular viscosity requirements. If it becomes course or dries add a slight mor jobaba.
Second to this is Maximus. Water based but edging it can dry and you have to keep adding. Eventually the dried stuff reacts to my skin like silicone or glycerine.
For slick and best used with your lover as it is good for any hole is nuru gel. Will stain sheets so if on the bed cover it with something water proof. If you are not looking for that slippery put sheets you can sacrifice over the waterproof barrier to gain purchase. Sometimes when you connect you want to stay conected.
Nuru with your lover is best used in a small blow up pool for two. What a blast. Mix the gel needed as directed. It is perfect and incredibly slippry long lasting. We use a spray bottle with a dash of almond oil and water to stretch it if it dries. We also keep a pair of ankle socks each near the pool. Walking on hardwood or tile is not possible with nuru gel. You will bust your ass.
Nuru seems costly because you have to buy so much of the concentrate. 33oz is 40$.
