Commonly I get about 2500-3000 reads on my stories. Bad Day which got me almost 400 hate pms and emails over about 3 weeks got about 5000 reads during that time and a 3.30 vote score.

Since then there have been some 15,800 reads and the vote score has jumped to 3.60. Not that many additonal votes were cast but it appears they were all 4's and 5's with the exception on one person who gave it a 2.

Maybe one just has to out wait the trolls.

And wait for the sweeps. The trolls have surged lately, and that will bring with it massive sweeps eventually. A few have already went through, because the overall scores in the toplists - and some familiar titles - have started to pop back in there. Those commonly appearing troll IPs will get kicked to the curb

Yep. The trolls are always worst the first couple of days the story goes up. Or if you're near the top of the top list. One story of mine collected at least one troll vote every day when it was #1.

I just wonder how you got 400 responses. I don't have that many on all my stories put together.

The story was quite true. I wasn't the least offended by any of their nasty comments except one: "Why don't you try writing about something plausible?" How much more so can it be when the story happens in real life?

I don't think I'll write any more Rape stories for sure.
