The death was announced this morning of the passing of a man who almost single-handedly kick-started Rock & Roll in England: Bert Weedon. A classically-trained musician, he wrote books on how to get started in Playing the guitar. These books were the very opposite of the books then available.
Eric Clapton, the Beatles and nearly everyone else owe a huge debt to the start this man gave them.
He's probably entertaining the Heavenly choir with his guitar Boogie Shuffle.
