Bernie Sanders

Why is Bernie Sanders running on the democratic party.
Shouldn't he run on the socialist ticket.

He could, I suppose, if there were a socialist party and it could field candidates but there isn't, and I suppose you know that, so that's not a bright question, is it? Hope it didn't take you long to birth that post.

Democratic Socialists of America does not want to run candidates as a third party because it will take votes away from the Democrat Party and contribute to Republican victories.

Socialists know that a growing percentage of the American people prefer socialism to capitalism. They are content to wait and let the Democrat Party move the U.S. economy in a socialist direction.

There haven't been enough claiming to be democratic socialists in the United States and with the ambition to form a party for several decades. That's why they don't have a candidate. They don't have a party. And that's why they're trying to take over the Democratic Party. Fine with me if they do it from the inside. But there's no reason why it should just to handed to them.
