Bernie Sanders told Elizabeth Warren that a woman can’t win in 2020

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is said to have once told fellow presidential primary rival Sen Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) that he believes a woman cannot defeat President Donald Trump in a 2020 general election contest.

CNN, citing sources with knowledge of the situation, reported on Monday that Sanders made the remark during a meeting at Warren’s Washington, D.C., apartment in December 2018.
