During a less contentious phase of the 2016 Democratic primary, Bernie Sanders stated what every political observer knows:

I can’t think of many personalities who have been attacked for more reasons than Hillary Clinton. And by the way, let me be frank and I’m running against her: Some of it is sexist.”

...

Kudos to the Sanders campaign for trying to elevate the discourse. The problem for them is that a significant portion of the trolling is likely coming from the right, not the left.
I mean, he's got a point, when people refer to Hillary as 'shrill' and all that nonsense.

People are idiots if they keep letting the GOP trolls trick them like this.

Hillary is a horrible person. Many people are willing to overlook it. Bernie...maybe not, and that pretty much disqualifies him from being prez.

Jimmy Carter...great guy, horrible prez.

Trump is pretty horrible too.

Hillary is a horrible person.
Pretty horrible people have been successful pols for a long, long time. Is Hillary more or less horrible than the prominent GOP thugs and pawns currently riding the long gibbering wave of hate-fear-greed disinfo? Crüz, Rubilips and Tromp all promise to seriously fuck your shit. Y'all have fun if they win. Y'all better pray the GOP establishment nominates Romney in a brokered convention. Of course if Jesse Ventura runs, all bets are off...

Most of the stuff that makes Hillary horrible is stuff that everybody with that kind of power would have done. Power doesn't corrupt, it's just that you can actually do all that shit you want to do.

But seriously when asked for specifics it seems to boil down to a few things. Benghazi (not her fault), emails (everybody does it), and sticking by her man.

My life will change insignificantly no matter who is elected. Your flaming rhetoric is just that.

Sanders is the only decent mainstream candidate running, and the only one worthy of a vote.

Hillary Clinton IS a shrill voiced wrinkled old hag. And it should be fair to point that out.

The SAME thing or worse happens to male candidates who are unappealing to women such as Trump. Women don't like Trump because he's pushy, domineering, has a funny face, not handsome, can "only get women because he has money" as Gloria Steinham put it.

Like it or not, and I for one like it, there are different definitions of what makes a man or a woman appealing. I hope it stays that way for a long time.

And she's a shrill voiced wrinkled old hag that nobody would have ever heard of if it wasn't for who she was married to.

Hardly a feminist example of independence and self-made success. Unlike Sarah Palin who did it all on her own.

Hillary winning the White House proves nothing in terms of femanist success.

Many third world and even Muslim countries that few femanists would hold up as their model of "equality" between the sexes have had female leaders who were spouses of former leaders. Nothing unique or groundbreaking about that.

Unlike Margaret Thatcher or Angela Merkel or other female conservative leaders in other western countries. Hillary will break no new ground whatsoever for women. She is only where she is because of her husband.

U R dumb.

I surprised myself and voted for Bernie today. I've never thought he was electable, but even get tired of my own cynicism sometimes.

I actually liked O'Malley best, but even Bern is electable next to him.

Sad, but true.

Except that's mostly bullshit Renard. There is absolutely nothing shrill about Hillary. She couldn't be shrill if she was actively trying. Obnoxious? Sure but a high pitched whine? Sorry you've got the wrong woman. Either that or you don't own a dictionary and lack the ability to use google. Being the first woman president would be a victory no matter how you slice it on the feminist front. As for if she's here because of her husband frankly as time goes on that becomes increasingly debatable. It seems plausible that the two are really a power couple and neither one of them would have been shit without the other. Bill was the beneficiary of a world that wasn't ready for Hillary sure but I'm less than certain that the ambition that put him in the White House was even a majority his own at this point. He seems like he would have been perfectly happy to be just rich enough to sit on his ass and fuck anything that moves.

Bernie beat Hillary in Michigan. That's big. He still doesn't have a chance at the nomination, but it shows what a terrible candidate Hillary Clinton is. Really awful. But she's got the nomination in the bag. Because she's in the bag. It's going to be an interesting general.

Poll: 33% of Sanders Supporters Wouldn't Vote for Clinton

https://news.yahoo.com/video/poll-33-sanders-supporters-wouldnt-120220441.html

"A new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll indicates one third of Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders' supporters cannot see themselves voting for Hillary Clinton in November. This could spell trouble for Clinton who will likely need Sanders' backers in order to win the White House."

I know I won't be voting for her, and I'm serious about it, but I wonder if these other Sanders supporters will stick to their guns. I guess we'll find out come November.

And the same pollsters had Hillary up double digits in Michigan. Polls are shit.

I know quite a few people who say they will not vote for Hillary in November if she beats Bernie for the nomination. I know they are serious about it, just as I am, and not just saying it. Two are my children.

As a gambler it's easy for me to see the only good bet there is 10/3 on Trump.

I hope they are willing to own up to that when World War III starts on Trump's watch.

As long as you're willing to accept the consequences of it that's fine. But yeah WWIII isn't gonna happen.
