Bernie Sanders spanks CBS and corporate media.

He's late to the party. While he complains about corporate media, they are losing audience to independent journalists. We are lacking local news, but that will likely rebound as energy shortages shut down most national media, the internet and television.

Maybe you should throw him $95 for a peek at his book decrying capitalism. Maybe then you'd understand what a fraudster he is.

Homelessness in America 2023:
Statistics, Analysis, & Trends

As housing costs rise, more than half a million people lack homes, including nearly 100k children.

Key Findings:

  • 582,462 individuals are experiencing homelessness in America, an increase of about 2,000 people since the last complete census conducted in 2020.
  • About 30 percent of people without homes are experiencing chronic patterns of homelessness. This means they’ve been without homes for more than 12 months or have experienced extended periods of extended homelessness over the past three years.
  • Most states saw their homeless populations rise since 2019, including four where the tally more than doubled (Delaware, Vermont, Louisiana, Maine).
  • Sixty percent of individuals experiencing homelessness are male, though unsheltered homelessness rose by five percent among women and girls. More than a quarter of those experiencing homelessness were with their families and children.
  • Much progress has been made in reducing homelessness among military veterans. Homelessness in this population declined by 11 percent over the past two years and has been halved since 2010.

You're worse at economics than law.

This right wing "Vow of poverty" trope is so tired. Any time anyone advocates for the poor the first thing some dumb ass right winger does is accuse them hypocrisy because they are not desperately poor themselves. They'll say stupid shit like, "If you're for the poor so much why don't you give all your money away" or "If you're for the homeless why don't invite all the homeless to come live with you".

In there child like reasoning they think they have some kind of gotcha because everyone who advocates for the poor must take a vow of poverty themselves like Jesus. No. You don't have to be poor to want to lift people out of poverty. You don't have to give away all your money to prove that you want other people to have enough money to live. That's fucking stupid. These types of issues are systemic in nature and require systemic solutions. Not individuals personally trying to solve these problems by themselves.

The notion that Sanders is some kind of grifter is patently absurd. I remember when he was running for President he was criticized for traveling by airplane because he's for the environment, like he's supposed to go around the country by horse and buggy or something to prove he's against climate change. Fucking stupid. Anything coming out of Fox News is beyond suspect and can considered false until proven otherwise. Tickets are probably 50 cents and the rest are Ticketmaster fees and charges.
