My son brought home papers explaining the virtues of owning a pet...and I started laughing. So I have added my interpretation...here it goes...

The Benefits of Owning a “PET”

Pets offer far more in return, teaching us about love, improving our emotional and physical health, and providing us with unconditional affection and friendship.

Pets Can Improve Your Mood: it’s virtually impossible to stay in a bad mood when a pair of loving eyes meets yours, or rubs up against your….hand (now watch it, I bet you thought I was going to say something else, even though we know that is true as well).

Pets Encourage You To Get Out And Exercise:
now tell the truth you enjoy the exercise as well. There is no telling how many calories you burn flogging or caning your pet, and then of course there is the walking to get the next implement.

Pets Can Help With Social Support: while out with your pet at a party or dungeon, a pet can make you more approachable and give people a reason to stop and talk. They give you reason to meet others and increase your network of friends.

Pets Stave Off Loneliness and Provide Unconditional Love:
Pets can be there for you in ways that others can’t. They can offer love and companionship, and can also enjoy comfortable silences, keep secrets and are excellent snugglers. And they could also be the best antidote to loneliness.

It’s important to realize that owning a pet isn’t for everyone. Pets do come with additional work and responsibility, which can bring its own stress. However, for most people, the benefits of having a pet outweigh the drawbacks. The unique bond we share with our pets dramatically enriches our lives, our physical health and our emotional well-being. Many studies have shown that while we are taking care of our pets, our pets are taking care of us.

Owning a pet

We have 4 cats, a dog, and 3 horses, sorry I agree. Nothing more soothing than having a cat on your lap during a movie.

I am so glad everyone is enjoying, my owner loved it as well. His favorite part was the "Social Support", and says he will test this theory out this weekend.:)

Especially since most of those at the party do not know I am officially owned. He plans on announcing it there, at our "BONDFIRE"....ok bonfire, which sir has re-named. :D

Two cats here and I love 'em to death. ^^

Even if the puke. ¬¬

Hahaha I love it.
I definitely must get me a pet. No, I dont mean another cat :D

that's pretty funny!
We have two cats and they are stuck on the kids, they don't even bother showing me affection any more - I just feed them, change thier boxes, make sure they are taken to the vet - nothing important or anything!

This is why I need a puppy. I long for one, but don't have the time or space for it. *sigh*
