I've been coming to Literotica, off and on, for over two years. Suddenly, during the night, and leaving Lit. up but not being around, I was banned. I can't figure out why or how to fix this issue. I did send an email to the webmaster but is there something else that can be done?

Oops.....

Sorry, no idea. You're sure you don't have someone else sneaking to computer at night, posting "inappropiate" messages? ;)

Sorry for joking, hope the webmaster can help you and fix that.

I don't think anyone else had a hand in this. But I'll definately have to leave that option too

Are you sure you were banned? How do you know? What was your original screen name? You haven't given us much to go on.

I can't get back into Lit. chat period. A window appears that says I've been banned. I'm still working on the why.

Do you mean the realtime chat? That's still in testing. Or are you having trouble getting into the forum with your original screen name?

I was talking about going into Literotica chat, the real time version, I suppose. I've been going there since two plus years now.

You still haven't mentioned your old name, so there's no way any of us could help you. I hope you at least told Laurel what it was.

I guess I'm too new at this. I don't know Laurel, and even how to go about this in the right manner. My name, and I have two, but the one last night, was *aurora*

Laurel is the site webmaster - one of them, anyway. Hopefully you'll get a response to your e-mail.

Meanwhile, does anybody have experience with the Lit IRC chat? That's what's at issue here.

I think she is talking of the DigiChat - the "Live Chat" that appears on the main menu of Lit?

I've never heard of some one being banned just for leaving their computer on. The program does have a habit of kicking you out, but normally you can back in.

There are several reasons why some one could get banned. The most typical is if a moderator asked you a question and you refused to answer. Could be, while you were up and away from the computer, a mod asked a question (such as how old you were, which is common), and when s/he didn't receive an answer, they banned you. It's why many people either type "brb" or go into "Away from Keyboard" if the leave their computer.

I would try to PM/Email Laurel. She doesn't really do that much with chat, to my understanding, but she can refer you to a moderator. I used to visit Lit chat quite frequently, but I haven't been there in months, so I don't even know who is a mod anymore.

When you do contact Laurel, be certain to let her know what screen name(s) you use when in Chat.

the most logical answer seems to be talking to Laurel, but that leads to a new question. How do I get in touch with her directly?
I had heard that that can happen, Ive been away from keyboard many many times, just never had this happen to me. But I do think I've learned a valueable lesson LOL. Do not ever leave the computer again!!

You can get in touch with Laurel by either sending her a PM or an email. Her user name here at Lit is Laurel. If you direct a PM to her, that would be how you would direct it.

I believe on the main page of Lit, there is a way to email the webmaster. You could do that as well. Just be sure you let her know that you are inquiring about the DigiChat and what usernames you use there.

I did post an email to the webmaster, so hopefully, I've covered all the possible bases.

I'd follow SexyChele's advice and PM here. She responds to those pretty quickly. Email-good luck!
