Ah yes, the great conservative rationalization after the 2012 elections.


If I were a Democrat, I'd mostly be embarrassed because Obama has, in spite of the cheerleaders on the left, been a weak POTUS.

That being said, it's an indictment of the right they could not produce a suitable candidate to beat him in the general election.

The 2014 off year results, I think, were fairly predictable. It's very rare for the party which controls the White House to do well in off year elections, even rarer when the POTUS is in second term (at least historically).

The only surprising thing is that the GOP managed to keep their people from doing or saying inane, stupid shit which would mobilize the Democrats base, or piss off enough of the Independents in the middle to mobilize that block against them.
