This is what I use:
Encore ImpoAid Battery Vacuum Erection Penis Pump

Has served me well for several years. The constriction rings are just as important as the pump itself. Be glad to answer questions here or via p.m.

I've always been under the impression that the effect of those things was only very temporary at best. Is that not true?

Only true if you omit the constriction ring. The important thing is the constriction ring. The pump itself achieves the erection, but the constriction ring maintains it, preventing the blood from leaking back into the body. Granted the ring needs to be removed every half hour or so, but after a short rest, repump and reapply a ring or two, and I can continue for, well, all afternoon for example.

Penis Pump suggestion

I have had very good results using an Osbon ErecAid Esteem. Here is a You Tube explanation of the ErecAid: Understanding Vacuum Erection Devices.

It is a hell of a lot more expensive than the sex shop versions, but I consider it worth it.

I'm diabetic and the neuropathy problem has eliminated any sensation in my penis. (It, like me, still looks good but also like me it doesn't work.)

With the ErecAid, I have been able to satisfy any partners who are willing to take the few extra steps in the process. I point out that it is just another form of foreplay and that seems to resolve any doubts. Besides, it can be a lot of fun working the process with a willing partner.

Mine is a manual version, but it can also have a motorized pump for "a few dollars more". I went with the manual version 'cause the thought of a motor scared the dickens out of me. I'm intellectually aware that there shouldn't be any problems, but I'm phobic about control.

I think it is still only available with a doctor's prescription but that shouldn't be a problem. If it turns out to be a problem then go find another doctor, preferably a good urologist.

Please let us know how your search turns out.
