I'm not proud.

This story of mine, The Orange Slip needs two more votes to collect 300 of them.

If you haven't read it, please do, and vote.

I'll think of something to thank you. ;)

Is 300 some kind of magic number? Or is it mere vanity?

Either way, wowee that's a loooong story. I'll vote when I've finished it.

Vanity. :D

Plus it'll be my first with that many votes.

Rob,

Read it and voted.

I'll think of something to say on it, but I have to tell you I enjoyed the story. Would you mind if I printed it out so my wife can read it?

Okay, there you go but I just read the odd-numbered pages :D

Rob, you are the best feedbackerer EVER.

Happy to add my vote and read along.

RCV'ed. Glad you came a-begging.

And yes, I commented Anonymously. Then I signed it. :D

Thanks all.

I very much appreciate what you did.

You are very welcome.

Apparently people around here think a great deal of you, Rob.

Reviving this thread.

Because I could really use a little ego stroking at the moment.

Please, pick one of my stories you haven't read before and RVC.

I'm pretty stuck on writing these days and need a push.

Thanks in advance.

I'll throw in a quid pro quo if you want, just let me know.

I read your last year winner when Aurora enthusiastically pointed me to it, and I didn't think I'd comment since it was so long ago, but since you asked nicely... :D It was involving with a well-crafted POV, lots of action, good sex, and a great ending. I can see why it won--it was well-deserved.

So, I'm curious as to why you are struggling now? Is it a lack of interesting plots? Or lack of motivation for some reason (writing makes you feel better, so if you're bummed, it just means you aren't writing enough)? Feeling too caught up in RL (curse that!)? Often answering the tough questions with objectivity can lead to a good plan of action.

In any case, I wish you happy writing (very soon).
