Long story short... We broke our bed. New things to consider now when shopping for one. Anyone have experience shopping for a bondage friendly bed that doesn't scream "Hey, Guess what we do!"

Really prefer wood, most of the things I have found are all metal and SCREAM BDSM lol. Did find one that was really nice but had a $6k price tag.. We think that's a little crazy for a bed.

I know someone else has had to have went through this process

If you want something more than decorative iron then I'd start looking at a platform bed frame. Some places call them panel beds.

You can hide hooks/eyes on the underside and no one will see them or guess what you do in your spare time.

Some ideas:

Whatever you do, reinforce the frame corners with angle plates. Modern stuff isn't made to withstand any sort of kinky effort. Alternatively, for myself I have a waterbed frame on a drawer base with a std cal king mattress set in the frame. You ain't moving it without help so ties stay secure no matter how much SHE struggles. Yet it totally looks normal and the drawers provide storage space for toys and other devilish things.

Thanks for tip, yea definately newer wood furniture isn't built to stand up.. We had this sleigh bed for almost 10 years.. but when I looked at how it was put together after it broke.. wow I am shocked it lasted this long.

So for anyone else looking into this, I found a place that makes custom beds for a very reasonable price. He even has a selection of hidden and removable tie down points. They are located in Florida so shipping is going to be a bear but we are getting exactly what we want custom built.

having something made similar to this:
Metal and Wood Bed

Yes that is from the custom place I linked. We have not received it yet. He sent us pictures as he made it and this was right before he took it apart to crate it up for shipping. It should ship out of friday so hoping to break it in next week.

We were about to settle for a wood platform bed when I found this place. I wasn't sure about spending so much on a bed but then my wife said the one we are settling for wasn't really that much less so why no splurge and get exactly what we want... Plus I am pretty sure this is gonna hold up better than wood.

In all honesty though, it was a lot cheaper than I was expecting and they even gave us free shipping.
