I like to be *loosely* tied with scarves around my wrists and the headboard of the bed. I have a morbid fear of being tied so that I can't get loose. But I do love being tied down *loosely* so that if need be I can release the bonds myself.

"Best" depends on things like her previous injuries, what you want to do with her when you've got her there, etc., but make sure that you can free her easily, either by untying the knots or by using scissors to cut the ropes. Being tied up for long periods of time can cause pins and needles and other circulation problems.

if you loop a rope underneath the bed from the head of the bed to the foot of it, you can use it as leverage to attach wrist/ankle cuffs to. Use some more rope to make a vague capital I shape, and you've got a pretty adaptable, cheap and effective "spread-wide" DIY. that is, its good if you want her arms/legs spread out to either side/above her.

what i liked about it was that because the rope was attached to my arms and legs, I was sort of holding MYSELF down--the more I pulled my arms up, the more it pulled my legs down/vise versa. you can pin your gf pretty tight if you get her all tied in, then tighten the middle rope until there's little to no slack at all.

Like, do you have a headboard? do you have a big wrought iron bedframe with TONS of attachment points for ropes/zipties? we need to know!

also, i should have mentioned that before--plastic zipties. those are your BEST FRIEND for setting up elaborate bondage rigs fast.

never use silk scarves. they may seem soft but can cause irritation to the skin.
like someone already posted being tied for too long can cut off circulation
the last time i was tied down it was straps with a lining of soft lamb's wool.
also important is to make sure the gf does not have any allergies that could hinder the fun.

Grab a set of emt or trauma sheers to keep by wherever you are tying someone up or down. They'll cut through ropes fast in an emergency like a fire alarm, injury or panic attack. They'll cut through pennies with enough grip strength.

Never gag and tie with someone inexperienced. Communicate a lot, check her circulation, comfort and safety often. Set up safe words to give her a clear out. I like colors- green means go, yellow means caution need to change something and red is flat out stop.

Velcro cuffs are a good starting point. Can be quick release but still a solid hold.

Pick up 2 sets of ankle/wrist cuffs...the velcro kind and you should be able to find cotton rope in a sex shop specifically for tying up someone. I bought one that was 24' long then cut them in four 6' peices so i can use each individually for something elaborate or just use the cuffs and 2 peices of rope for the quick option and also the easier to take off in an emergency . As others have said the tinglies kick in after awhile so be sure to communicate and make sure you have boundaries set beforehand for the optimal experience.

Scarves can be nice, tied to the head and/or footboard or bed frame. Handcuffs can be used the same way. I'm a big fan of this product.bondage

Silk or polyester type scarves are good because they can be untied relatively easily and don't chafe the skin. However, velvet lined velcro cuffs are the best becanse they don't chafe, the're easy to connect and disconnect if the bound person sort of panics and wants out quickly. There are also sorts of velcro ankle cuffs with straps that go around the neck to raise feet and knees to expose the crotch but don't require tying to the actual bed. Most of this stuff can be found in sex shops or online or in various catalogs.

Good thing you put that LOL. Seriously it cut off a lot of questions.

If its a first time and you're aiming for playful rather than some type of BDSM scenario things like her stockings work well and again if you;re experimenting, not too tight.

If you go to the stores like Amazing there is a type of rope(I cannot think of the brand name but it comes in all types of pretty colors) that is extremely soft and ties very easily.

After the wife finished reading the 50 shades books she dropped a few hints about getting smethong to restrain her. we have no head or foot boards so I bought the product scoundrel posted above. we have a California king and it was easy to set up easy to hide and worked wonderfully.

Depends on the bed.. I have secured rope cleats to her wooden head board and foot board that are not seen.
