Yes, you read correctly. There's an "L" after that "C." It's not a typo. Perverts. :)

Does anyone know when the "end of day" is here on Literotica? If there is a general three-day wait between submitting a story and seeing it posted, at what time have I missed a given submission day? And what time zone determines said "end of day" time?

I realize, of course, that sometimes it takes a little longer than three days. Still, given that three days seems to have been a relatively predictable standard, I'd love to be able to tell readers when the next chapter of a story will post.

For instance, as of just before 10pm PST on 4/12, I submitted a new chapter of a series. Given that new stories seem to post at about 10pm PST on a given night (give or take), does that mean I can comfortably expect to see my chapter posted on...4/15? Or did I miss a cut-off, and should therefore tell readers it'll be up on the evening of 4/16?

No way to know. I'm positive that it has everything to do with how many stories are in the submission queue at any given time, and nothing to do with the time any of them were submitted.

My last non-contest story went up in two days, screwing me all up. I usually have the updates for my sig, blog, etc. all ready to go at the end of day 2 so I can quickly get them all in, so I had to scramble.

Actually, I think the one I submitted most recently in my third name went up in two ( even with the contest going on ) as well. Just wasn't paying as close of attention since I don't announce those anywhere.

Best you can do is tell them what date you're aiming for ( using 3 days as the norm ) and hope for the best.

Stories generally start posting at midnight Eastern Time/USA and post in waves (with the first wave often being pulled back for a while after initially posting). I've never gauged that there's a cut-off time for submitting three days in advance of that (mine have posted on the three-day schedule for years). I submit in the early afternoon, though, and mine almost always post in a second or third round of posting on the third day, not in the first, midnight posting. If I submit at 1 pm Eastern Time on a Monday, it's usually posted around 3 am Eastern Time on the following Thursday.

I usually figure on the third day, unless it's a contest entry. If I submit a story on Sat. night, I expect to get up on Tuesday morning and see it posted.

However, that's a standard story. If you mean an audible story or an illustrated one, those take much longer, probably two weeks or more.

My last one that went up in two days was put in the queue late Monday evening, and went up in an after-midnight wave of Wed. Morning.

Take that with SR's experience, and you get nothing consistent, so far as time submitted goes.

Laurel tries to fill exactly one page of the New list with stories each day, from my observations. If there are more than a full page of submissions, some get bumped. If it was a slow day for submissions, a few from the next day might make the cut.

That makes it entirely dependant upon how many people are submitting, so the clock is pretty much irrelevant.

Mine have all been three day as far as I can remember and the time does not matter last one went in on 11:30pm est on a Wed. and posted first thing Sat morning.
