My Catholic Elementary School graduating class (grade 8) had four pregnant girls in it. Thirty years later, when I was an elected school trustee, I voted to include condom use in the Grade 5, 6, and 7 elementary school sex ed curriculum. The teachers wanted to offer it only to the boys; the parents at my local school demanded that it be offered to the girls as well.
