I woke up early on Friday to tidy up the beach house, as Joan and I were expecting her college freshman niece Lolly and her sorority sister Danielle. The last time I had seen Lolly was 4-5 years back at a family wedding. I wondered if she had changed much. I was also really looking forward to taking the sail boat for a time on Saturday as I was sure they would enjoy some time on the water with some cold beers.
Well, first thing was that Joan got an emergency call to the office to work on a proposal for a huge client, so now I was going to have to keep Lolly and Danielle entertained the entire day alone. No big deal, but I like to get a bit tipsy and lay out with the sun. Oh well, I am sure it will work out.
So I made myself a protein shake and hopped in the car to the bus terminal. College kids love taking the bus, don't they? I got there in about 8 minutes, no traffic in the Hampton's at 8:30am, I suppose.
But…I didn't have a current photo of Lolly. Would she recognize me? I guessed that there would not be THAT many 19 year olds waiting at the bus station so early, and I was right. There was just one…and she was the sexiest thing I had seen in years. But, no sign on Lolly and her friend.
I sat down on the bench and started to check my Twitter feed.
Just then, I heard the most faint call of "Uncle Johnny? Oh, it's so good to see you again. It's me, Lolly!"
HO LY SHIT! That smoking hot girl WAS Lolly. But she was alone, no Danielle.
"Lolly! I did NOT recognize you. My lord. You have really grown up!"
She could surly tell my shock as I did a piss-poor job of hiding my gawking.
"And your friend, where is she?"
"Uncle Johnny, she's such a bitch. She canceled on me when I was boarding the bus. So I guess it's just me, you and Aunt Joan. That's still fun, right?"
"Of course, Lolly. That's a shame about Daneille, I had a fun Boat day planned. Also, your aunt won't be joining us until maybe tomorrow afternoon. She had to head back to the city to work on a very important project. So, can your uncle hang out with you, or am I too lame?"
Lolly giggled and caressed my arm.
"Uncle JOHNNNYYYY, I am more than happy to hang out with you. I am not some stuck up girl!"
