Beach book?

How the hell are we suppose to think about literature with that avatar of yours. Damn.

Ummm literature. Just finished Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister along with The Life of the Wicked Witch of the West. Both by Gregory Maguire. Both excellent. I always take War and Peace on vacations. The only time I allow myself to read it. Also anything of Dickens or maybe you should print out some of the stories here and....

see what that avatar makes us think about!!!

A good beach choice; Summer Sisters, by Judy Bloom, or anything by Alice Hoffman. Do you have kids? If you do, The Mother Trip by Ariel Gore is excellent. I know a lot of people try to read the classics in the summer, but I think they're better suited to a cold winter night. :) Have fun!

Where didI last see my skeleton key, if I can't find that a chainsaw will open that drawer. Haha...

When were you leaving on vacation?

Let's see? Join MistressHoney on a private vacation in a beautiful location... or stay and break into that drawer and steal the photo of her.

Geesh. Why do I have to choose?

I much rather be chilly, especially at night. Cuddles are a super way to spend the evening.
Okay, to hell with the photo. here someone else brak in and steal that. I am going for the real thing.

I'm taking some much-needed vacation and am diving into some new books. Have any recommendations?

The absolute BEST thing about my line of work (writing) is that I can deduct any and all book purchases as a work expense. It's considered research. Hee-hee-hee!

If you like historical mysteries try Lindsey Davis' Falco series set in Rome 70 AD, funny and exciting.
Or you could try P. G. Wodehouse's Jeeves and Wooster series which are hilarious... (IMHO)
If you want deep instead of light, try Walter Moseley's mysteries and novels, - I disagree with his world-view a lot, but he is thought provoking......

Nice picture, you look a lot like willful from that angle - you wouldn't be here long-lost sister or cousin would you??? ;)

whenever i get a chance to

i really enjoy Dean Koontz books.
and i really enjoy your av MistressHoney.

Can I come?? I really need a vacation!

I recommend... (I work in a bookstore and read too many books)

I just finished The Virgin Suicides, interesting book, but I wouldn't recommend for a happy beach trip!

Janet Evanovich - One for the Money (it's the first in a series) mystery/comedy, I havent' started the book yet. But I have heard nothing but praise for the book.

I loved Harry Potter! (Yes, I am a dork!) The first book.

Bridget Jones Diary and the sequel The Edge of Reason are hilarious! I recommend those highly!
