I'll be on a Lit hiatus for a couple of weeks. I am getting married on Saturday.

I have felt very welcomed in this community and I'd like to take this moment to tell everyone I have interacted with here that I am grateful for your advice, your support and even for the few lumps you've given me.

Love to you all. See you soon.

Now that's what I call dedication to research. We can expect Mary and Alvin's wedding to be most convincing, then. Although I suspect, blushing bride... not ;).

Congratulations, may it all be truly wonderful.

Many Congratulations, have a wonderful day, and a beautiful Happy Ever After!

Will & Lori

Honor, riches, marriage-blessing,
Long continuance and increasing,
Hourly joys be still upon you.
Juno sings her blessings on you.

Earth’s increase, foison plenty,
Barns and garners never empty,
Vines with clust’ring bunches growing,
Plants with goodly burden bowing;
Spring come to you at the farthest
In the very end of harvest.
Scarcity and want shall shun you.
Ceres’ blessing so is on you.

The best marriage advice I ever heard was attributed to Plato and Socrates. (Surely a myth, but bear with me.) When Plato asked his teacher if he should marry the love of his life, Socrates reported replied, "Either way, you'll regret it."

It's perfect advice if you love your partner. If you don't marry, then you'll spend the rest of your life wondering, "If only had married . . ." Since you've decided to marry, you get to spend the rest of your life wondering, "Why did I ever marry?"

Enjoy creating your happily-ever-after!

Congratulations!

After 44 years of marriage, I would still recommend it.
