while I know I have seen other threads along these linesI simply can't find them I am looking for a list of your favourite BDSM tracks for an upcoming event. Thank you in advance for your contributions switch:kiss:bitch

Bdsm Music

I think all of 3rd Eye Blind sounds kinky to me. "I'm the one for you, cuz I know all the dirty things you like to do..."

Or
The Cure's --Just Like Heaven--"Tell me how you do that trick, the one that makes me scream, she said.."

Some resonances

Although the song has a lot of themes, Gordon Lightfoot's "If you could read my mind" has always given me a thrill whenever I hear

If you could read my mind love
What a tale my thoughts could tell
Just like an old time movie
'Bout a ghost from a wishin' well
In a castle dark or a fortress strong
With chains upon my feet
You know that ghost is me
And I will never be set free

Is this too dated for your event? I hope not!

On the matter of words or not, I'm mostly a classical music fan - in addition to writing stories for Literotica and enjoying/supporting Fetlife I support Classical New England and the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Which brings to mind Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique. By the composer's own program, in the fourth movement

"He dreams that he has killed his beloved, that he is condemned, led to the scaffold and is witnessing his own execution. As he cries for forgiveness the effects of the narcotic set in. He wants to hide but he cannot so he watches as an onlooker as he dies. The procession advances to the sound of a march that is sometimes sombre and wild, and sometimes brilliant and solemn, in which a dull sound of heavy footsteps follows without transition the loudest outbursts. At the end of the march, the first four bars of the idée fixe reappear like a final thought of love interrupted by the fatal blow when his head bounced down the steps." (thanks Wikipedia)

Something like that gem will appear in the program book regularly around the world during the concert season, as this piece is one of the staples of orchestral programming. A favorite of the BSO, it is performed in Symphony Hall every few years, as well as at Tanglewood. I always wonder as I look around the hall who's reading it, and what they are thinking!

Lyrics Issue

I disagree...lyrics as a writer are very real and meaningful to a lot of people and with BDSM issues can be quite powerful.

I love Brian Ferry's "SLave to Love" for example it is haunting and great kink related LYrics. It was in 91/2 weeks for goodness sakes. Doesn't get more kinky than that...;)

I find about half of Silversun Pickups 2009 and newer stuff to sound BDSM-y...

"The Pit," "Panic Switch," "Bloody Mary," all seem to be about showing someone new to BDSM the ropes... or about possession, in a D/s sort of way.

Maybe they're into that kind of thing, who knows. Even if not, they are pretty good at representing whatever it is they are actually representing, as BDSM.

I'm fond of Wagner but I recognize that four-hour long operas in German are an acquired taste.

Sure, but when you're setting up a party soundtrack, you don't necessarily get the right song at the right time. "Slave to Love" you better believe it-- but I don't want it to come on when I'm in the middle of a lung-bursting rattan cane scene...

I'm discovering dubstep. I like the slower beats.
