My sub and I are just starting to collect toys for her. Can you all recommend sites for shopping or ideas for making different toys. We want quality, but value at the same time as we are kind of on a budget.

Thanks!

A few do it yourself links to get you started,

Also check ebay but reserch the seller before bidding

Let me add Home Depot, Walmart, The Dollar Stores are all good places to go shopping (add in the fact that you giggle the whole time), Check the phone book for local Tack Shops, Pet Stores, Feed and Grain places. You can fill a toy box with out ever stepping into a Adult Store all it takes is an imagination and some elbow grease.

Good Luck and Have Fun!

I really like www.stockroom.com for toys, too. I've been buying stuff from them for years.

During the summer, in many largeish cities, there are "fetish flea markets" that one can attend and talk to to the artisans who actually make the toys and other devices that are offered for sale. If you do a google search, you might find one coming to city near you sometime soon. We have one in August, for example, in San Francisco that Wolf and i will attend to fill in some of the empty places in my toy bag.

Before I would buy from a website, I'd first check ebay to see if the same or similar item is being sold there. Chances are it is, and you'll save a lot of money.

a suggestion or two

www.frugaldomme.com - has some neat DIY suggestions
www.stockroom.com - has a nice range of affordable stuff
what I would really suggest is...get to know folks in your area or region in the lifestyle. Almost every kink community has folks who are making toys and equipment. Its nice to not only help out a cottage industry but have something made just for you too.

have fun,

Just recently found discovered this site, from an auction of their's on ebay...super hot stuff! I can't decide what I want - the dress or the skirt & bra.

Decisions, decisions...

im so glad some do it yourself sites were posted because my toy box is way too empty and most toys in stores are very expensive. thanks everyone!

Whips

If you ever get into single tails, I recommend David Morgan. He isn't an s/m shop, but his whips are some of the best in the world, I've purchased a signal whip, a blacksnake and a bullwhip from him, and although it can be a bit expensive, his stuff is worth every penny. Check out....

Well I went shopping today... looking for those damn flyswatters that Foxy was so proud of... and was unable to find them.

However, I found some leather conditioner at Wal-Mart to soften that new cat-o-nine tails whip that I bought Himself on ebay... beware of leather from India... it is very poor quality...

Next stop was the Dollar Store, again seeking flyswatters but to no avail.... however they had plastic wrap at a really good price... $1.00 for 200 feet... much better than $2.68 for 250 feet at Wal-Mart... it does pay to comparison shop...

Next was Big Lots... I found taper candles for .10 each... not bad at all... Himself has a real fondness for candles...

Lastly, I went to Cost Plus World Bazaar for wine and coffee... they have a great wine section at great prices... and in looking around I found bamboo sections... all polished... for .99 each...

Not a bad day at all... $10.00 for every thing... Himself will be so pleased... now if I could just find those damn flyswatters... well life would be almost perfect....

;)

Thanks for the help so far everyone. I just bought a nice suade flogger off ebay. Very nice and very inexpensive! The stockroom has lots of good stuff I want to look into though.
