cw - this is a question about a heavy BDSM non-consent story. Nothing graphic, but references/summary of that type of content. Please feel free to peace out if that's uncomfortable or just not your thing.
Hi all,
I'm a new writer here but a long-time reader. I got a rejection for a BDSM Non-Consent story. I'm trying to figure out if it's something that needs minor tweaks or if the story just doesn't belong on Literotica.
I did try resubmitting it with a request for clarification and got the same boilerplate rejection (which is fair). I thought rather than badgering Laurel I'd see if anyone here has advice.
Here's the rejection:
The basic premise of my story is an assassin who gets captured and sold to the woman he tried and failed to assassinate. Sexual, bdsm-type punisment ensues. The captive/assassin is physically turned on for some of it, but not enjoying it in general, and the pain/fear aspects are pretty intense (not gory). No one dies.
I've seen some pretty brutal stuff on Literotica in the Non-con category, including slavery stuff where the victim is definitly not enjoying it, so I'm wondering if it's the assassin premise that is getting this thrown out? There are a couple brief flashbacks to the assassination w/ some nudity.
The other possibility is that the pain to pleasure ratio just isn't within the guidelines of Literotica. Which is fair, just unexpected given some other stuff I've read on here.
Any thoughts/advice would be appreciated!

Hi! While we do allow violence and gore, we do not allow violence and gore involved in sexual gratification. Violence is okay, sexual violence is not. -> While we do accept submissions with graphic violence, we don't accept "snuff" or "vore" - i.e. death & extreme torture with the aim of sexual titillation. We generally do not accept submissions of nonconsensual sex in which the "victim" gets absolutely no sort of thrill or enjoyment from the acts, or is seriously and /or permanently physically harmed/abused/maimed/killed and the death is eroticized.
