Bdsm in a small town

I have lived the BDSM lifestyle for over ten years, with my subbie, now that he is gone I am having a hard time finding suitable new sub. This is made more difficult for me due to the fact that I live in upstate New York, In a small town that is barely a blip on the map. There are larger towns within an hour and a half, yet I do not always have the time to go to them. Any suggestions ?

It sucks being in a small town. I'd have to drive 60 miles to find a group.

but... being female, I assume, and looking for male subs? You shouldn't have a problem.

I'm in a small town. In the Deep South. And I have remain underground for personal and professional reasons. Groups? Like Writer Dom, I'd have to travel 70 miles to find a group.

So, I resorted to CollarMe. I wasn't optimistic going into it but I did find there are a handful of people in my area..we are all just well hidden. The man I am with now lives 3 miles from me and he's a keeper.

I live in a relatively small town myself. And if there isn't a BDSM community or a munch group locally, you may find yourself either having to travel to a larger city to find people who are into the same things. You can also try advertising, as there are many people who are not comfortable with group activities that may actually be in a similar situation to yours.

Try advertising on Craigslist [l]http://www.craigslist.org/about/cities.html[/l] or CollarMe.com [l]http://www.collarme.com/[/l]for a city that is close to you, and maybe you'll pick up a few people who, like you, are in the outskirts.

It also helps to place your classified everywhere on the Web that allows classified ads, but always DO mention the city that you live in, as many of these advertisers do not bother to do that. It's almost like you have to pry it out of them.
