I just wanted to start a friendly thread for the fun and freaky folks at the BDSM forum to catch up, chat, and whatnot. This is particularly for those of us who have a bad habit of hijacking other peoples threads for our personal uses. (You'd expect such evil behavior from a group full of sadist and masocists would you not?)

So bake a bunt cake, and bring your favorate mug. I'll clean off this pile of papers and make room around the table. Just don't tell my neighborhood watch that I let all you perverts in at once!

Us? Perverts?
How could you say that?

You provide the place, I'll provide the 2 coffee makers, the espresso maker, the coffee grinder, the espresso grinder, and the beans.

I am not sure I understand. So it's okay to hijack this thread or are we supposed to chat and drink coffee?;)

I'm sure I will get flack for this....

But we've got the Fireside Lounge, and the Flirt thread running over in the Cafe.

??

...but for the more caffeine-addicted souls, now we have this coffee clatch -- assuming that we're not too jittery to type!

*sigh*

As I have said before, and will probably say again, while I was a very vocal against the split of the Boards, once it was here to stay I chose to support the split 100%.

It is natural for people to chat or "hijack" threads that are serious in nature. You can't have a serious discussion without some brevity.

However, a chat thread is inappropriate for this side of the Board.

My .02 cents.

Have to agree with AnelizeDarkEye's suggestion it be moved to the Cafe side for those who want to chat. May help emphasise the purpose of both boards, instead of seeking to blend the two yet again, that way ensuring discussion can continue without the breakdown into chitchat which seems to be prevailing of late. Some may feel this is stepping on toes, but as others mentioned in the past, it gets tiring trying to follow a serious discussion you might be interested in when there are several posts of 'Hi, how are you', and the customary comedy theatre, in which case many give up and the discussion ends and nothing is gained except some people have managed to appear on a lot of threads without really adding much of the intended exchange.

That is what the Cafe thread was created for, to cater to those who wanted comedy, light topics, and friendly chats, leaving Talk for those seeking some sort of dialogue on BDSM topics. Seems only fair to allow all to have the opportunity to enjoy Lit BDSM boards in the ways which please them without having one of the other smothered out. Just my thoughts, of which I am sure some will not agree, but I am into diversity and giving all an opportunity to express themselves.

I will echo Anelize and Catalina plus add my own opinions:

1. BDSM Talk (main forum) should be reserved for topical discussion and specific questions about BDSM.

2. BDSM Cafe (sub forum) should be reserved for movies, current events, meetups, birthdays, introduction posts, flirting, chit-chat, messages for specific posters, vanity threads and so forth.

Lately the forums have been almost interchangeable.

Yuk!

aht a long day.

I waited and waited for Z to show up with my coffee in her favorite garter belt, but NO!

I am finally sitting down to my first decent cup of java today.

So how does everyone take their coffee?

:D

STRONG

With a shot of espresso in it along with some turbinado sugar and cream.

Or...sometimes a 50/50/
Heated demi cup, 50% heated cream and 50% espresso.

Sure, come on in. Hot chocolate is yummy too:)

I drink Double Mocha Capechino myself from QD. (When I can) Doesn't really taste like coffee, but it gives you a serious jolt.

The rest of the time, I just go with General Foods International Coffees, Lahlua Cafe in the house right now. But I prefer the choclaty flavors, but I like to give them all a try. (does that make me a coffee whore???:))
