Medieval style are alright, but they tend to be very straightforward and bland.
Mostly pure cross shapes, wide double-edged blades.
Mostly weapons of war.

Although I do have my eye on a German flamberg zweihander.
I believe it's called a Landeshnekt or something like that.
I can never remember how it's spelt.
However, it has a beautiful wood and iron handle with the lovely flamberg wavy style, not to mention it's 6 foot long in total.

Why thank you. :)

Although I'd like to have an authentic antique sword some day.
One with an actual history to it that would have seen real combat back in ancient times.

lol, Well as you can see, swords are already a conversation piece for me.
I have a wish list of them right now that would more than double my current collection if I had the means.

They are expensive to collect, though. :D

Although my best one is still only $300.

whew that is a bit of money. Is that real gold?
but have to say I like the curve to the blade; maybe that has more to do with my mood than just appreciation
 
My "sword" is unfortunately getting rusty as a result of disuse. Where in hell is Xena Warrior Princess when I need her?
 
It's a cold icy day here in Penisylvania. I should have been able to join a warm BBW to make some sunshine under the covers instead of dragging myself off to work.
