In the calendar year 1000 of the Empire of Earth the brave crew of the Battlestation Takemikazuchi headed out to the alien frontier in their captured and refitted battlestation. The mission is simple support our allies and find new ones, secure the frontier, and fight off the savage invading hordes. It won't be easy, so only the brave and the bold need apply. The battlestation is a mobile warrior state unto itself.

The Battlestation Takemikazuchi holds a crew of some 500,000 plus civilians and easily holds medium size vessels internally. Each of the ship's 25 sections are really cities on to themselves. This thread is about those who make their homes in section 17 who are now preparing to go to war.

We begin our story at the allied frontier after 3 months of travel. The next 9 months will be considered combat patrols and recon to assess the situation and decide on a strategy. There will be a variety of missions, training, and intrigue. While being rushed into service there are still parts of the ship unexplored, and there is always the chance of alien infiltrators.

What this means for players..

I can't see wait to see what writing you all come up with as you acclimate your characters to the station and the universe. I will fill in details and offer missions and rumors to investigate, but you can have fun any way you like. So setup your homes, explore section 17 (it's a small city but feel free to inquire about other areas). There are trams and lifts, and you can find your way anyway you like.

Watches is are 24 hours with three days off so you'll have plenty of time to explore, have sex, and do whatever you'd like in the sci-fi setting. I do hope we can run some missions and have a good ongoing story, but I see this as a character driven story line.

An underground group of scientists on board the battlestation want to work with the aliens to learn about their technology even at the cost of betraying the empire.

It is believer that several members of the royal family are on board, but traveling in secret.

While there have been missing person reports already unconfirmed sources say the military is hiding mutilated bodies.

There are alien crypts below section 17.

The giant steaks being severed in the restaurant quarter sold by alien merchants come from giant beetles.

Some say the alien invaders have dozens of ships just like the Takemikazuchi only larger.

Has decided that they will not maintain a freight hauling operation on the station so they will be selling off all their assets from heavy duty ship storage containers to office hot drink dispensers.

Several vendors are selling what are called Battle Bots. These 18" tall robots will fight each other with real swords and axes until one goes down. With a program port and storage space one could modify them to even patrol their living space....watch out for small children and pets.

The biosphere like "park"in section 17 has been cleared for use. It's like a dense alien forest with trails, exotic plants and animal life, and even a large pond. Ships systems generate weather it is close to tropical. It covers many acres, but Fleet is willing to say it's reasonably safe to visit or even camp out.

Julia woke up with another pounding hang over, from last night’s activities. She stretched out her arms and rotated her shoulders, working out any stiffness from having tied back as two guys doubled teamed her. Take a swig of vodka to wash out the taste of seamen from her mouth. She made her way into the shower making a note to tell Sasha at the Queen of Diamonds to cut back on booking her gangbangs, they were taking too much out of her.

As Julia got into the shower, she just slumped against the back and let the water wash away any amounts of shame from the night before. After a good 15 minutes of physical cleansing, Julia stopped the hot water and started to dry herself off. She picked up a tablet, which she was using for personal communications and made she last night’s transaction made its way to Tony, her unofficial pimp. Julia sighed some relief as she saw that the transfer did go through.

With that, she put on put on a grey sweat suit, with pull over hoodie and matching pants. She went to her fridge and loaded the pockets of her hoodie with energy bars and chugged a shake. She picked up her music drive, switched it to aggressive Russian rage metal, inserted the ear buds and made her way out the door. The running program on her treadmill was nice, but it felt great to be able to run outdoors, or at least not in a single space once and a while.

Julia heard about this new park that just opened up for public use and wanted to go there and check it out. She looked up and entered the coordinates to the park on her personal communicator and made her way there. It wasn’t that far to run only 3 kilometers from her apartment while on the station. She didn’t have to be anywhere important for at another 2 hours, and if anyone did need here for official business, she could always be reached on her official air force issued communicator.

"Another night, another deal" Joe thought to himself as he made his way back to his place by cutting through the park. It is well known that whatever anyone wanted and when they wanted it he was the guy to talk to. Though he was protected at high levels he still took great care to conceal his activities. Frankly he didn't need the hassle of some do gooder interrupting his highly lucrative trade.

Julia made it to the park faster than she expected to make it there. Julia took a bite of one of her energy bars and sat down on one of the benches just outside the entrance. Julia pulled out her personal communicator and noted Sasha had already booked her 3 clients tonight, each 2 hour sessions with 30 minute break between each one. Julia was glad to have made contact with Sasha at The Queen of Diamonds, and was glad Sasha was helping her after Julia explained her situation to her, but Sasha seemed overly eager to book Julia the most amount of clients possible. They even gave her a discount on the percent they usually take, for they only take 5 percent cut when other girls that work them they take a 20 percent cut.

Julia sighed as she jumped in place and started to venture into the park. She took in the wildlife, the exotic plants, wondering from which planets they came from. As Julia ran she tried to push the events of her night life aside and focus on her military duties. Julia wanted to get to base and inspect her fighter before doing some more drills with it. She thought during her last drill, it was pulling to the left meaning the right engine wasn’t getting all the power it should. She had sent a message to the engineering department to look at it, and she was about to pull out her military communicator when she bumped into someone knocking herself onto her ass. She swore in Old Russian as she got herself up. She dusted herself off and apologized to the man in English. “Sorry about that, have a lot on my mind.”

Command office

“I still don’t get why you are doing this”

The commanders insistence on repeating himself was beginning to grate on Damian and he felt himself resisting the urge to smack the man once again. He fought it down instead stroking his goatee and staring out the window. The section known as 17 stretched out before him awe-inspiring and to think this was only one section of a massive battle station! One destined to the borders of the front line to fulfill a wide variety of missions. To the inhabitants of section 17 however that was a mere after thought some thing to muse about as they went about their daily lives. In the few months they were out a thriving eco system had already been established and a daily way of life as well. To most of the people out there nothing else mattered but that except for some of the rumors going about.

“This battle station is a new start for me” Damian reminded the commander turning and taking a deep breath “No one knows I am the prince here not even the high commanders of the ship I can be whoever I wish here and with my home planet so far away why would I continue to live such a life?”

“But” Commander Daario said pinching the bridge of his nose “your mother assigned you to me so I can protect you and-“

“My mother Is not here” Damian reminded him patiently “and with it her royal protection should be considered moot I am not royalty here I am merely a inhabitant of section 17”

“But if any one found out your true identity!”

“They wont” Damian said shortly growing tired of this conversation “And you cant stop me from doing this I do not need your blessing” He reminded the commander before turning on his heel and walking out of the sliding door. He wished he could slam it for effect but instead he tucked his hands into his long blood red coat and left the office intent on getting out onto the street as fast as possible. He stepped out breathing in the scent of spice and eyeing the multitude of people moving across the large walkway. This was more like it! No more stuffy halls or etiquette classes, no more any thing royal! He was his own person here! He ran his hands across his baldhead and tightened his coat flexing his muscles as the tall panther like prince stepped into the crowd intent on becoming one of them.

“Another”

Marcus Tiberius ignored the man’s drunken shout and instead scanned the people walking by one more through his holo lens. Come on there had to be some one in section 17 who he could bag and turn in. Working a bounty-hunting gig had its ups and downs and right now he was currently on the low end a fact that was as surprising as it was frustrating. I mean if he were a criminal he would see a floating battle station going out to the frontier as the perfect place to get away and hide out. I mean it was fucking huge! Easily big enough to hide out in and since it wasn’t returning any time soon……

But so far he hadn’t had any luck, his holo lens was hooked up to every criminal database in the known star systems. It constantly scanned people walking by putting their faces into it and telling him if any one was wanted. If he found any one all he needed to do was capture them and turn them in to the commander for sentencing and reward. It was easier than the old days where he would have had to personally deliver them and flown his star ship the Aquilla to the penal colony. Of course said star ship was currently in the hanger serving ash is new home in the battle station. He like the others couldn’t leave whenever they wished, signing up was basically singing up to the service you could be a civilian and do whatever you wished (within the rules of course) but leaving? Nope not unless you got special permission.

Marcus was fine with for the most part, here he was no different from there. He spent his life on his ship any ways and planet jumping. His father was a captain of a freighter and they had never had a home except for the Aquilla. He grew up in space and since this was basically one big space station he felt right at home.

“Come on” He murmured scanning the crowds again leaning back and running a hand through his close cropped hair. He idly scratched the stubble adorning his tan face his bright green eyes alert as he watched the people going by. So far he was only picking up light bounties which weren’t really enough for him to bother going after, he wasn’t that desperate yet at the very least the again if he didn’t find some thing soon.

“It might be time to move” A attractive female voice sounded in his ear

“Maybe” Marcus said shrugging “Got any places with recent activity Samantha?”

“Certainly Marcus” The female voice said as a hologram of an attractive woman in a red dress popped up out of the corner of his eyes “The park here looks promising”

“Better than nothing” He said getting up adjusting his brown old fashion duster and picking up his matching cowboy hat “Let’s see what we trouble we can get into darling” he said putting ah and on his gun belt and making his way to the park.

“Hush now” Elaine said shooting the younger girl a look before going back to her binoculars. She scanned the area again ignoring the beautiful vegetation in the park and instead focusing on the people. Where was her next target at? There had to be some sucker in the park whose credits were in arms reach.

“When can we leave?”

She gave a growl of frustration and turned eying the younger girl and trying very very carefully to remember her patience. She felt a stab of sympathy for her sister who was currently looking very sleepy and clutching her ratty bunny rabbit. She needed to learn to be more patient with her, then again she was still learning how to actually be a parent to her as well. Hard to believe a year had already passed since their parents died in that freighter explosion. She was eighteen when it happened set to join the army and become a star ship captain back then she had it all good parents, stellar grades, an almost perfect score in the simulator and more importantly a sister she loved dearly.

Until she became her responsibility that is

“I know Bunny” Elaine said turning and sighing stroking her face before tucking her blonde hair in “just a few more minutes then John will be here to pick you up”

“Speak of the devil” Elaine said relief flooding her system as she turned and saw her best friend John coming up the hill. He gave her a flirty smile and she winced half smiling back as the blush formed in her cheek. She knew why John came with her aboard this ship and she also knew it had nothing to do with his own situation. She was still trying to figure out how to tell him that she wasn’t interested but didn’t know how. She relied on John as well to take care of Bunny while she worked. Life on the station wasn’t cheap and the waitress job she had wasn’t paying near enough for her to go to school. Which meant she had to fall back on old skills.

Elaine didn’t know why she was so good at being a thief but it came naturally to her. Locks sprang open for her; pockets magically emptied their wallet. She supposed it didn’t help that she loved it the rush it gave her was just about as close as she could get to being in the seat of a star fighter and blowing away enemy forces. She was weird but John always just said it was one of her many interesting quirks…..

“Hey beautiful” He said smiling at her before nodding at Bunny “she looks tired”

“She is” Elaine said “thanks take her back to our place and I’ll be home as soon as I get done here”

“No problem” He said taking her in his arms and winking at Elaine “see you soon dear”

She blew Bunny a kiss and watched them leave grateful to finally get to work. She stood up and pulled her hoodie up effectively masking her pixie like face and long strawberry blonde hair. She tucked her hands inside of the black hoodie joining the group of people moving in the park. She moved like a ghost between them pick pocketing any one that looked even half way rich and emptying their wallets with her hands. She did this for an hour hitting different areas of the park and keeping out of sight in case any one noticed their hard earned credits missing. She was just about to leave when she saw a woman crash into a man. She moved forward keeping back to see if either one of them might net her any interesting prizes.

Seen Swimming in one of the Ponds at "the Park"

These alien animals are a type of amphibian. They have two arms and four legs, with a short, powerful tail. They have two eyes which sit lightly in their sockets and can often make them appear to be formal. Their eyesight is almost among the best. Their wide mouths and huge noses often make these aliens appear to be distant, but looks can be deceiving. Their ears are long and hanging and their hearing is excellent. Their skin is course, thick and strong. It's covered in a thick layer of mucous. Their skin colors are mostly white and dark red, which tend to become faded as they age.The males are usually bossier than their female counter part and their colors are more varied. The females, however, are usually more arrogant.

Lieutenant Joe Storm A space Marine themed bar named Jarheads has opened on the main strip of section 17. It boasts a lot of historical items on the wall, large cheese burgers, and massive beer steins.

Something is draining power from the alien containment area in section 17. It doesn't appear to be attack, but fleet won't put any prisoners there until it's investigated.

Moon Pagoda Kitchen is reporting problems with their water system, and food is disappearing from the storage rooms.

The hanger where your personnel medium Scout ship The Condor has a message on it's security computer when you check it. An out of work small craft ship's engineer is out of work and heard about your ship. For food and a place to sleep (happy on board the ship) he'll work on your craft and do what he can to keep material costs down.

A visiting alien merchant in the market sees you and likes your look. He seems to know something about your culture. He offers to sell you a helmet made from an alien skull and exotic lance. He says one of your age should have these.

A grateful client in addition to your regular fee gives you a three month pass to one of the private firing rangers in section 17. Good for practicing with pistols and rifles, and does sales and trades of weapons and gear.

Your squadron the "Red Strike" has been grounded for two weeks while the flight crews are installing some new enhanced titanium armor. With engine improvements already in progress the speed of the fighters won't reduce. You can decide how the pilots spend their time.

Carl McKay had just finished the morning's meeting with the staff. 120 men and women, each trained and capable of performing their assigned tasks with efficiency and professionalism. At least, that is what he kept telling himself. Half the crew were actually Novices and apprentices, each capable of little more than pushing a few buttons and praying it worked. There others whom he also suspected of engaging in dirty dealings with the black market. Unfortunately he could not prove that. That left around 20 people who were actually capable. In order to keep things running, the crew was split into a series of three-man teams. Most were given menial tasks, such as repairing civilians' household appliances. His better crews, on the other hand, had something more important to do.

Specialist Isis Nakamura was to go to the Moon Pagoda Kitchen to check on water issues. Normally, the plumbing was relegated to one of the lesser teams, but something seemed... off in this incident. As far as the missing food was concerned, that was Security's problem, not theirs.

"My team and team 21," he continued, "are going to the alien containment center. Apparently we are going to investigate a power drain in the vicinity that giving the military fits. I believe my instructions were to 'fix the goddamn lights, goddamn it!'" Everyone shared a laugh at that statement.

"All right people, you have your assignments. Let's get to it." And with that everyone was off.

Teams 1 and 21 arrived at the prison within fifteen minutes, geared up and ready to go. He approached the first prison guard and introduced himself. "McKay, Section 17 Chief Engineer. Is there someone here that can show us the problem?"

Phoebe has been so long alone she doesn’t even know how it is really to live with others that see her so to say but knows she cant run her hole life so she tries to find a place big enough were she can live but know one would see her as her really.

She was in a space station that was getting build but very small as she heard from this one space station and heard that someone was going to travel there and see if there wasn’t a place for him there to live instead of this small thing here. So she decided to sneak in his ship and travel with him. She stole food and water but only so that no one really would notice. When he lands she waits an hour or so that she knew really no one was watching when she sneaks out.

Once out she heads to somewhere just to look around for now her hood on hiding her face and her eyes seeing so many people at once was a bit scary but also a easy day work for her if she needed anything like money food or something to drink.

She found herself suddenly in a forest like park she couldn’t believe it trees. She hasn’t seen trees in such a long time, she had the urge direct to climb one but thought maybe that wasn’t such a good idea and kept walking for a few more mins taking deep breaths. She is going to like it here she thought this was her new home for at least a while till she does too much probly and has to leave again but as big it is here she has a lot of time to spend here.

"Another shot of whiskey, Loyd!" I yell at the bartender. "My name isn't Loyd sir" he replies. "I don't give to fucks about your name Loyd. Now where the fuck is my whiskey!?" The bar tender gives a weary sigh before placing a large shot of whiskey before me. I give a satisfied smile and drain it in one gulp. "Thanks for the drinks Loyd" I say as I drop a handful of credits on the bar. I walk out of the bar and into the street of the massive space station. "Bit of overkill" I think to myself "a good ship with twenty decent guys would do the job just as well" I shrug my shoulders and continue forward.

I walk forward blindly flowing with the crowd my head swimming pleasantly with affects of my whiskey. I look around and see that I've ended up in a large park. "Who the fuck puts a park on a space station?" I mutter to myself.

Continuing through the park I notice a girl with a hood covering her face. She seems uneasy about being in a crowd. Something about her raises my alarm and I decide to follow her and see what she's up to.

Phoebe felt someone near something like being watched so she moved a bit quicker and then turned behind a tree climbing up it and sitting on a branch to wait for the person to walk past to search for her.

She sat there watching and also looking to see if others are in the park. Seeing then a man which seemed pretty drunk she watched him wondering what he was up to and why he was following her or if she was just too nervous and thought he was.

I continued after the girl and watched slightly impressed as she quickly disappeared off of the path into the trees. "Something's defiantly up with her" I thought to myself. I scanned the area where she disappeared but saw no sign of her. I smiled as I felt the familiar thrill of the hunt begin. I continued forward towards a bench roughly opposite from where the girl entered the woods and sat down. This position would allow me to see of she exited the the trees anywhere close to where she entered. "And now we play the waiting game" I said to myself as I made myself more comfortable on the bench.

She watches him and wonders what he is up to as he sat down on the bench she doesnt understand it. She stayed sitting for a few mins seeing him not move she looked around thinking maybe he was waiting on someone but not seeing anyone even near she looked down the tree and wondered if she could get down and off without him noticing where she was or if she could jump to a other tree so she could leave there where he didnt see her go in.

Pheobe smirked some as she saw a thick enough branch near enough to jump on it so she did hoping it was quiet enough so he didnt notice anything as she then climbed down it and stayed behind it for a second or two before she then tries as quiet as possible to walk off again along the tree line wondering if he was really following her.

She didn't seem all that dangerous but over the years I had learned to trust my instinct. And besides, when she saw me following her age pulled her little disappearing act. As I continued to wait I heard a slight shuffle in the trees above me. "Probably just the wind" I thought to myself. "Wait... There's no wind on a space station!" I jump up and quickly and look around for the girl. I see her a few yards walking calmly down the

She doesnt look back as she just looks forward hoping he didnt see her or notice her. She thought about all the places she had gone or may be going and thought about where she might sleep tonight maybe she should go walk around town a bit to get money and stay in somthing like a hotel room or such.

She then suddenly heard fast foot steps behind her she turned seeing the man running towards her she thought for a second for a drunk he can run fast and straight and then turned to run as well. Looking for a place to hide again and she didnt think climbing another tree would help this time.

It took her a moment to notice me but once she did she was off like a shot. I smiled as I watched her looking around for a spot to hide. "That won't help you now, sweetheart!" I yell after her as I pull a bola out from a pouch in my belt. I swing the weighted rope over my head and throw it after the fleeing girl. The rope sails through the air and hits her in the back with enough force to knock her to the ground as the ends of the rope wrap around her.

I run over to the girl as she struggles to free herself from my bola. "Sorry about that sweet thing but I have a strong suspicion that you are worth money to someone." I say as I untie her from the snare. I quickly use the rope to tie her hands behind her back, then I help her to stand up. I pull a small scanner from my belt to identify the woman. I press a few buttons growing more agitated until I angrily shout at the scanner "work you piece of shit!" I look back to the girl with a forced smile. "One minute, I can never get this damn thing to work." I continue to play with the small machine trying to activate it, unsuccessfully. I continue to grow more and more angry and distracted as I try to activate the scanner in my hand.

(OOC: the thing I used to catch her is called a bola, I think. It's the thing that batman uses to catch bad guys. It's a three pronged rope that has balls on the end to weigh it down. Also my character isn't drunk just buzzed. And he's basically an alcoholic so he has a higher tolerance than the average person who doesn't spend most of their downtime drinking. Sorry if I'm being unclear or overpowered this is my first role play so I don't really know what I'm doing.)

She is knocked off her feet and a breath from her lungs as she coughs some and sturggles to get free but then he was already there and ties her hands behind her back and screams out once as he helps her up on her feet.

"AHHHH!!!"

She starts to laugh a little at him as he tries to find out who she is.

"That wont work...Mister im a ghost im no one so just let me go no one will pay for me....."

She smirks some and looks him over trying to find a soft spot to hit him so she can run getting her hands free she will work on later.

"LET ME GO!!! NOW!"

she growls a bit as she tries to struggle free.

I laugh at her ghost comment. "Even ghosts can be worth money if you can find the right way to use them." I press another button on my scanner and smile in triumph. "There we go. Now lets see what your name is Ms. Ghost." I allow the scanner's beam to run over you before it gives a beep showing that it has finished. "Well look at that. You really are a ghost." I say as I look at the screen that says no match. "Well my new ghostly friend this puts us in an interesting position. I could turn you into the station authorities, I'm sure they'd be interested to learn how an unregistered citizen ended up on their station. I could turn you over to some of my... Shall we say less then reputable friends? I'm sure they could find some kind of use for you. Or my third, and honestly least favorite option, is to let you go and pretend this never happened." I laugh in triumph. "So my dear, what use are you to me? Which option should we choose?"

She raises her brow and listens to him as if saying I told you so.

"Hmm lets see... Let me go and pretend this never happened....."

She starts to try and free her hands not able to wait till she gets free. As he looks to his scanner again she takes three steps away from him looking around and then turns to take off again while her hands try to get free from the ropes.

I watch as she tries to escape again before I catch up to her. I lift her up and toss her over my shoulder. "You know what ghost? I like you." I laugh. "Most people in this situation would be crying or begging for mercy, but not you. You're a fighter, and I like fighters." I pull a small device from my belt and slap it on her back. It sends and electrical jolt through her body powerful enough to knock her out but not to do any real harm.

As she falls unconscious on my shoulder I carry her back to my apartment which is located a few doors down from the bar I was at. I set her down on a couch in my small living room. I untie her hands, pour myself a drink, and wait for her to wake up.

She struggles and growls some as he throws er over his shoulder and before she can react to what he says she feels him slap somthing on her back and then everything goes black.

The next thing she knows she feels sore as if she had passed out after to much drinking. She grabed her head some sighing some she sits up straight and then shakes her head some looking where she was gasping jumping up of the couch to a window she hadnt noticed him sitting there as she tries to open the window and as it doesnt work she turns to go for a door and then sees him.

"What the Fuck did you do?! So the fun is over Mister now I am going..."

I smile as the girl wakes up and tries to escape out of a window. "She has good instincts." I think to myself as I take a sip of my drink. She notices me and yells "what the fuck did you do!?" I smile and calmly reply. "I just used a type of taser on you to make it easier to get you here." She responds "the fun is over mister I'm going!" I take another drink then respond. "You're free to go, but first I'd like to offer you a job."

I stand up, pour her a drink, refill mine, place hers on the table infront of her, then I sit back down. "I'm a bounty hunter. It's a tough job for a tough person, and you my dear, are a tough person. You have excellent reflexes, survival instinct, stealth, and I'm sure a long list of additional skills I'm not aware of. But most importantly you're a real ghost. Unknown, untraceable, something very rare and very useful. So I'm offering you a place to stay." I open my arms wide to indicate my apartment. "Plenty of food and drink, which frankly you look like you could use, and ten percent of the credits we earn on every job we complete. In addition to all of those lovely bonuses you'll have also have the benifit of my pleasant company."

I look at you and tone my cocky persona down a bit. "I know we got off on the wrong foot, but this is a pretty good, if unorthodox, job offering. So... What do you say?"
