I know there are people here who do not have much good to say about using other directors/Author's worlds & Characters, but The original 1979 Battlestar Galactica did not get a fair airing in it's original set of episodes and the main characters (quite a few characters really deserved to have their storys developed and heard out! I particularly miss ideas by others on Apollo & Sheba! Even Athena, Apollo's younger sis did not get much of a story after breaking up with Starbuck! I would've loved her story to have finally found some happiness! Most of the fan-fic I've ever had the misfortune to find on Battlestar Galactica with the dynamic duo: Starbuck & Apollo did not stick to the general family hetero intents of Glen A. Larson. AND! I thought it was so unfair that the director had Starbuck killed of for that geeky kid that played in Glactica 1980; a complete FARCE as far as I'm concerened! The newer version that was redesigned by a Robert somebody or other with Starbuck as a woman was LOUSY and shoould've never been aired!!! Very sloppy compared to the effects and good work of filming that was done in the original series!!! From a passionate Apollo Lover! Quesla.
