Barking Dogs - Blaffende Honden are having a poetry event a week before the Poetry International Festival in Rotterdam in June. This is to promote Barking Dogs and it's planned Dutch sister journal and to prove that poetry readings can be entertaining. So if you are in Rotterdam around that time be sure to attend. We are hoping the venue will be in the historic Delfshaven area but this might change. There are plenty of Coffee Shops (dope shops), sex shops and sufficient whores just across bridge from Delfshaven so the people who enjoy low life will be well catered for.

I won't be anywhere near that area, of course.
But you'll have to give us details afterwards. :)

I don't suppose you're sending airline tickets to the esteemed authors? :p

But if I win the lottery and I can come, we could go out for uh a coffee together. I get all giddy at the thought of hanging out with Liverpudlians--I might not even need the coffee.

If I win the lottery you will be on the next plane over here Ange and I'll use my best scouse accent to greet you. :D

That goes for Wicked too, because she can be really really wicked in this place.

Unfortunately I'm not going to be close enough to Rotterdam either (unless I win Euromillions until then :D), but maybe you want to try posting something at the Dutch forum? There are poetry lovers everywhere, even if they don't know it yet.

Great idea! Thanks Lauren.

Hey, I know a poet in the Netherlands! I should hook you two up, she is pretty hot.

I got my copies today in the mail! They are most excellent, top quality, wonderful, congratulations and thank you for making us look good :)

I didn't know that little bio was going to be in the book. I thought it was for the site only. I mentioned pokemon and spongebob! lol Now, everyone will think they're my inspiration. :D

Isn't the word "scouse" usually prefaced by the word "thievin'" , or it that just a Mancunian thing, mate? :D

There are rumours that we can't keep our hands off other people's cars. :D
