Story.

"We said and told President Trump. 'you need to kill this administration in the crib early on just by its own incompetence and its illegitimacy,'" Bannon said on Wednesday's episode of his podcast.

"It killed itself," Bannon continued. "Just let this go with what this illegitimate regime is doing. It killed itself. We told you from the very beginning. Just expose it. Just expose it. Never back down. Never give up. This thing will implode."

Bannon's comments follow reporting from the new book "Peril," by Watergate journalist Bob Woodward and The Washington Post's Robert Costa, in which Bannon expresses similar sentiment to then-President Trump ahead of the Jan. 6 insurrection.

"He's also someone who we realized was talking to President Trump in the final days of the Trump presidency," Costa said on MSNBC, speaking of Bannon. "Talking to President Trump even on Jan. 5, the eve of the insurrection and saying to president Trump, based on our reporting, to kill the Biden presidency in the crib."

Bannon wants to tear down government
Why? Cuz he gets paid by the ultra rich
He runs scams on his endless mindless minions
“Send me money, help me build the wall”
Fuck him!
Anti American Anarchist Narcissist!!

I'll be the first to admit we need campaign-finance reform. Starting with the reversal of Buckley v. Valeo. Money =/= speech.

Not literally, but effectively.... cry more about how much you hate freedom and liberty. :D

I have no problem with reforming campaign financing....or tax reforms...or voting reforms...or health care....

I hope even you would admit than in a free and fair election, nobody should be allowed to influence the outcome by spending money.

In France -- which is a free country -- nobody may. Each candidate gets an equal allotment of free air time. That's the way to do it.

I think many are misreading what Bannon said, thinking it supported the coup attempt. I don't think it does this. I'm no Bannon fan, but I think he was telling Trump not to bother with the fuss and danger of the coup attempt he was working on--that Biden would undo himself. I think that, rather than acknowledging this made Bannon part of the coupists, he can argue that it made him part of those saying not to do it this way.

I would be inclined to believe that if Bannon had not used the word "illegitimacy," which is the theory the whole 1/6 insurrection was based on.

I'd much rather have us free to say what we want, the way we want.

Then let the Democrats - who bray this inanity endlessly - put their money where their loudmouths are and foreswear donations and teevee ads.

D: "I object to cheating!"

R: "Then don't cheat. I will play this game however I like."

What does it matter? It's not speech, after all.

It's advertising time. That's any campaign's main expense, nowadays. A campaign can decide at no cost what to say in that time, but still has to buy it. Which should not be how it works.

"If, in a crowded auditorium, Douglas gets a bullhorn, it is no infringement on free speech to insist that Lincoln should have one too."

-- Michael Lind

So what you are saying is that speech is unimportant unless one has the means so others can hear it. Interesting idea.

And wasn't filmed talking to the insurrectionists one on one Jan 6th. He is a Fascist traitor. In any other country...he would disappear
